Great campground. Easy access to Wildlife boat ramp.

Location is good for anyone needing to be near the marine base but also close to beach access at Topsail. The sites were small for our 38 ft and close together but we had a waterfront view that was amazing. Mostly long term campers here, it was quiet. The arcade was a hit for the kids, laundry was cashless which was new to me but pretty cool if you weren’t sticking around to wait on it. Good fishing opportunities nearby as well.

Negatives: expensive for a tent spot, overall unfriendly people, tent location far from bathroom, bath house locked and no code given in email and never was able to access. Positives; Quiet, beautiful weather, short walk to water to watch sunrise, soft grass, yummy seafood at cafe around the corner.

Friendly staff checked us in and brought us to campsite. Site was a decent size. (No picnic table) One issue was a grounds keeper weed wacking around our site. He went right over hoses and leaving grass, weeds, etc all around on our rug and chairs. Could of used blower to "clean" up. Nice view of the water but we had to leave a day earlier due to Hurricane/Storm coming through. We would probably stay here again for overnight or short stay.

Extremely disappointed. I read the reviews and checked through the amenities and it sounded great, but it was far from it. It is NOT ocean front, it is RIVER front. The wifi is only accessible at the bath house which consists of 4 showers included in the same building as the game room and TV/family area. Only 3 games work and the rest take your money. The change machine doesn't work and no one has change. There is no play ground and not much for small kids to do if it is raining or too hot at the beach. The real beach is 15-20 minutes away and you will have to pay $5/hour to park. This place is not a campground intended as a vacation spot at all.

1 star because the staff were nice. This place is not good for tent camping. There were many, MANY issues with our tent site, just to mention a few: No shade, uneven ground, nowhere to sit or cook (grill, fire pit, picnic table, nothing), golf carts and loud trucks late at night and early morning, etc. We were supposed to stay there for 3 nights, we only stayed for 1.
