Gallatin County Fairgrounds — Reviews

Quite crowded as pots & noisy but during MSU graduation we kind of expected ! Had a party next door & trains horns going all night plus police sirens but think Tamarack St. is a busy one . We survived … !

As expected, except the actual parking/camp spot was never identified. I endedup walking around with a flashlight to find it. We would still go back and make sure to call during office hours.

Nice location at 20 minute walk to downtown, could be way better if water and sewer were on. I understand sewers are closed up to end of April but we could find any sign stating where to find water.

The fairgrounds is a great place to stay. The spots are nice and the staff is great. It is close to shopping and restaurants. Noise level is very low.

Didn't have water. We assume that it had been turned off because of a possible freeze??? Neighbors had two large dogs that did their dumps at the back of both rigs. Hopefully their mess was cleaned up before they moved on. We will definitely use the facilities again.

Would have appreciated a sign on the water hook up stating “out of service”. Rather than getting set up only to discover the water was shut off due to a broken line. Otherwise good location. Close to town, trail, and ice arena.

Just a spot in the parking lot. No amenities.

It’s such a convenient place to camp! I was there for MSU homecoming and it was so nice and quiet. This is my third year doing this and I’ll be back!

Nice place to stay for an overnight. Ground wasn't level, to much slope front to rear. My hydraulics couldn't level out.

Quite, comfortable and convienent

There used to be water included in the “full hookups”. we stayed here three times this summer, first stay was in June. It seems that whatever the problem was with the water then, it could have been fixed by now. We’ve never seen any work being done to fix the problem.

This rating reflects the issue that water is not available at the camping spots. This WS the issue back in May when we stayed there and they still don’t have it fix. While they did make accommodations, any reasonable person would think that 4 months is enough time to fix the problem.

There were no bathrooms available for camper use.

It’s a parking lot with too many vehicles in the way if one has 40’ fifth wheel. Not enough room for only back in spots to easily back into the assigned position.

Neighbor not picking up after their dogs. Only 50 amp power

Close to downtown, great city area. Clean area, full HU site, easy in/ quick access to I90 (no services though).

Over priced for a site in a parking lot. I would not recommend this location.

The electrical system was 50 Amp and there were no adapters for 30, way too close to other people, we left

No water at each site makes it harder for longer stays., especially 5 th wheels. Scene lots of fair maintence guys , why don’t they fix the water pipes ??
