Gateway RV Campground — Reviews

I feel like this campground may be a hidden gem. Very quiet and off the main road so no loud road noises but just minutes from the hustle and bustle. We didn’t use any amenities but they appeared clean and well kept.

It is a wonderful place to be. Can’t wait to plan another trip there.

Friendly staff, Clean and well maintained

The site was not level, and our RV was kind of hanging over a bank. It was very poorly done.. Then during our stay towards the end, they put a very large RV on one side of us and another normal sized RV on the other side when there was open spots everywhere.

Perfect place to camp for Gatlinburg/Pigeon Forge. Nice lots, very very clean bathrooms and showers. Would always come back to this campground.

Campground was nice. Looked like they had recently had a stump ground on the site I reserved. Not a huge deal but somewhat limited the space available to parking. The shower house was nice and clean at all times of the day. For the price of the campground it’s hard to pass up. I would stay again but would choose another spot. It was located right on the property boundary and with the neighbor working on his vehicles under his carport. Overall good stay.

The campground was an oasis of quiet next to a frenzy on the main drag in town.

When we got to our campsite it was no one at the office at the location of our site our site was supposed to have a penny table and a firing it did not it was more of a permanent residential Campground more than an actual Campground involving things for a families no activities for the kids except for an arcade room which was closed random times because the caregiver of the lot had to go someplace they locked it. The other main area of Gateway RV was great looking larger Park looks like a lot of things for the kids to do but we didn't get put in that area we got put over at a different location for a 31 ft Class C I got a pull through and I had to maneuver it because the directions on how which road right into the campsites was unclear

The campground was very nice outside of the fact the tent camping site we were at had an extremely bright street light shinning right in our tent making it very hard to sleep. It was also extremely noisy all night long and we were very cramped between two campers. Based on the pictures online I thought the tent sites were more spacious but we were more cramped than anything else. The campground itself was very well taken care of and the bathrooms were cleaned daily even though we did not have hand soup in the girls bathroom for the entire time we were there. The cleaning crew should be checking that every day as part of the inspection check off to make sure guest can wash their hands. We had a wonderful time in Pigeon Forge but will be staying at a more quiet and less cramped camp ground next time.

Easy to find. Very close to town. Clean sites and bathrooms. Will come back in the future.

This would be a 5 star, were it not for the Slammedenuff event. Felt like staying on a racetrack. We had no idea this was going on and would have scheduled a different weekend. I don’t know what law enforcement/the city could have done to make it better. Maybe they shouldn’t host this event in the future.
