Six wooden A-frame units with canvas entry ways, each holding four cots with mattresses and one unit with electricity, make up this beautiful unit in the woods. A spacious circle between the units has a pavilion with picnic tables and a fire pit.
Chipmunk is the coziest of our cabin circles. These six units, each with four cots within them, are closer together than the others. You will feel like you are in your own camp property when nestled around the fire circle.
Staff Row’s four A-frame units are the only ones with electrical outlets in each and with all hard sides. The unit is centrally located and a short walk to the waterfront. It also has a fire pit, water spigot and picnic table.
Tamarack’s five units sit widely around a pavilion and fire circle. One cabin has electrical outlets and one is hanicapped accessible. With enough room between the units, it is a great place for activities and games.
Summer campers can also rent the four-person Tent Unit behind the building and have access to the Shower House next door for showers, bathrooms and water.
Viking is located on the left side of the lake, at the end of the trail that runs between Fletcher and the waterfront. An exciting feature of Viking is the large garage door that opens to face the lake.
Health Lodge is a newer cabin facility with three bedrooms that sleeps five with cots, and eight with mattresses on the floor. It has a wood stove, electricity, microwave and dorm-sized refrigerator.
Explorer is a one-room building with plenty of room for activities or for sleeping. Heat, electric and both gas and wood stoves make it available to use in the winter.
Robinhood has three cabins that hold 12 people each, and in the summer one platform tent for four more people. Cabins can be rented year-round; however they do not have heat or electric. Robinhood is directly across from Pioneer as you travel up the trail to Mountaineer.
Historic Bailiwick Lodge is a truly special gem for the GSNYPENN council. Bailiwick was the summer home of Cornell University Professor Liberty Hyde Bailey, a man known for being a core influence in what is now modern-day horticulture.
Comstock’s village units are the most unique camping experience on any of our properties and are the main sleeping option while at camp. Each of the units is built on stilts along the hillside—with a connecting deck between the cabins.

Highland’s five cabins are at the heart of the activity field, allowing easy access to the GaGa ball pit, basketball court, volleyball court, flagpole and a large open area to run.
Sherwood is close to the center of the property and sits just within the woods near the lakefront. The location of these five cabins gives troops the ability to experience camping in the woods while still being near other activities on property.
A spacious one-room building with a fireplace, bookcase and carpet, it feels more like being at home than at camp.
With heat, running water and a wrap-around porch providing a beautiful view of the waterfront, Fletcher is more than just the biggest building on our largest property. The lodge includes a meeting room capable of holding up to 200 people at its center, with more than enough room for troop activities. A full commercial kitchen is adjacent to the meeting room. Gladstone sits at the top of Amahami, nearest the Archery Range and trail to the Fire Tower. Running water and heat (heated floors, too!) makes Gladstone a popular winter rental. Additionally, Gladstone includes a full kitchen, activity area, two Troop Rooms with bunk beds, a washer and dryer, and fire circle outside.
Rowe is almost directly across from Fletcher, located at the base of the road going up to Gladstone. Like Fletcher and Gladstone, it has running water, a kitchen, heat, two bunkrooms full of bunkbeds, a leader room, activity area and fire circle.
This is the newest cabin at Comstock, built in 2019. The Malala Yousafazai Lodge sleeps 6 on bunk beds in two side rooms which connect to a meeting room in the middle.
Fern Lodge has the “homeiest” feel of the Troop Houses. Features that troops report to love the most are the house’s two large Troop Rooms with mattresses on the floor and cubbies, two small private rooms, flush toilets, showers, fire place, washer, dryer and full kitchen.
Mark Lodge is centrally located near both the waterfront and large games field. The main floor features a full kitchen and large multipurpose room with folding tables and chairs, TV with DVD player and single bathroom. The Lodge is the main building at Trefoil. Used as a dining hall during the summer camp season, it has a large kitchen and even larger dining area with an indoor circular fireplace and sturdy wooden tables. Behind the Lodge is a fire pit, picnic tables, and a compost bin—which troops are encouraged to add their scraps to. **If you are looking to book this space for an event/party, you must contact Jennifer Allwood @ jallwood@gsnypenn.org prior to your booking. On the far side of the lake, the six Lorelei Tents sit quietly and peacefully along the shore. A newly built cooking pavilion has water access for girls to fish, and a fire pit is available for them to cook on.
The eight tents of Tall Timber are elevated on wooden platform floors with canvas walls for a true camping experience and are adjacent to the Shower House. Settled further down the wooded trails, Tall Timber has beautiful surroundings to explore and the most nature at arm’s length.
The Yurt has beds, bunk beds and a table inside. Outside there is a picnic table and fire pit. Behind the Yurt is a narrow path to a beautiful lookout point of Snyder Lake.
