Location, facilities and amenities are exceptional

Great place and even better host. We will definitely stay here again

The RV park is situated in a very serene, calming area. A hardware store 1 mile away, with friendly, knowledgable staff, and beach access about 4 miles or so. Quaint little town, Matagorda. The RV park is kept very clean and neat, the pool was wonderful, the showers/restrooms immaculate. The laundry area was clean and provided a dollar changing machine, as well as a laundry soap etc vending. Very thoughtful. There was a big ice machine that gave the campers free ice while there. A very nice touch! Debbie the manager, greets you, is very friendly and helpful. Funny too. The owner was friendly and always had a smile on his face. Their intent was to insure the safety and comfort of all campers. When you work outside, in the air and in such a natural setting, it lends to that attitude! Unfortunately, it rained every day; one night was a huge thunderstorm - but we still managed to have fun, make some repairs and visit a restaurant called Snappers Bar and Grill. We had the best blackened red snapper I can remember. Also visited the Salty Dog for some essentials, and ate really great tacos next door at an outside venue, listening to a very good singer/guitar player. Standleys offered great coffee, on the morning we woke up with no power. I would highly recommend Harbor View RV Resort, and will stay again should we be back in the area.

We happened upon this place quite by accident. We had taken the wrong turn heading to somewhere else; and my husband wanted to check out Matagorda anyway. We just drove on in. Not our first stop in the last few hours, and at first we thought this would be another place we would turn around and leave, but there it was, flying the US and TX flag, with a fence; across from a beautiful field. We turned in. We are still new at traveling with a 5th wheel. We had a Class A 30 years ago when the kids were little, but things have changed. You need an ap in many places to book. However, Debbie was right there to help my husband as she saw him driving through the park. I was looking for the office. Anyway, she hung with us while we parked, told us we were fine, gave us the info about the park and explained the procedure. She told us where she would be, to come as for any help. The owner stopped by and greeted us, made sure we had the codes for pool and bathroom (which you also get in your welcome email). The park is very nice, very well kept, and the showers are wonderful, there is a nice pool and ice 24/7. The setting is serene, and you know, you just feel the good energy here. Everyone is very friendly, in town as well. Be sure to check out the Salty Dog, there is a liquor store, but a man was singing and playing the guitar next door and we had some excellent tacos. Very local vibe. The beach is a few minutes away, and was a surprise. We did not realize there was 22 miles of beachfront we could drive and/or park at. We decided to stay an extra 4 days!

Super friendly staff park was spotless

It was my 1st time there . I was there for a week . If you needed anything Terry was there to help you . It was very quiet .They had a pool ,bathroom ,showers and a place to do your laundry . It was very clean . It was not far from the beach. Only 30 minutes to Bay City .
