Hickory Hill Campground — Reviews

Probably a week before our stay I realized that I forgot to extend our stay and they quickly changed my reservations so that I could stay in the same spot for the entire time which was amazing. The people we meet were so nice!! The seasonal people had paid for a band to play on the 4th of July and it was so much fun! We just really enjoyed our stay and we can't wait to go back.

It was good, wish there was more info about the activities there. Be nice if you could find more of an online presence with what you can do or a flyer with info when you get your map and spot number if you come after hours.

My site was not level and I couldn’t reach the electric or water.

The community bathroom/shower is in serious need of upgrade.

Easy access site and great staff.

Nice level spot. Well kept grounds. Although mostly seasonal campers, everyone we met was very friendly and welcoming. We picked this campground solely because of the Halloween themed events for the kids. They had a campground poker run the Saturday we were there which was great. I’m sure we’ll be back.

Nice clean camp ground, easy in/out of site for a quick visit to our EC student.

Pleasant staff and nice campgrounds

Have been coming here for years. Only thing we wish was the site was a little larger and more consistent in size. Some sites at much larger than others would be better if site size was called out on website

Office was closed when we got there and no answer to the phone number. One of the seasonal campers assisted us.

Bathrooms were terrible. The camp site was not level.

We had a wonderful time.

There is a skeet shooting range next door with guns shooting constantly for 8 hours clear up to 10 pm. I don't care how nice the campground is, this is unacceptable.

Overall the campground is satisfactory. Water quality is terrible. Lots of iron and stained the toilet yellow. Not drinkable, we had to buy bottled water. Bathrooms could use a little more TLC.

The camp spot was not what we were expecting. The location was only a few yards away from a permanent residents front door and only feet from a busy roadway. It felt like the spot was an afterthought that was only available because the owners wanted to do something with the spot, but couldn't realistically put an RV there. Only a single photo was available which was misleading. All in all, not a good place for tent camping.

Ok for an overnight stay. Had a problem with the site F electric, tripped breakers. Had to unplug & plug in multiple times. Front office advised no help available. Low water pressure. Sites very crowded, could open awning, not really big rig friendly.. We love dogs & have two that travel with us, but dog droppings were all around our RV since we were right on an interior roadway, so the pickup after your dog rule not enforced.. Mostly permanent residents but was a quiet night.

People were great, services were better than most campgrounds. Beautiful pool area. Campground was extremely clean and organized. Had famous time.
