The location is great, tucked into the hills and not sitting next to some busy road. The campground is nicely laid out with some permanents grouped together, normal day to day campers grouped together, tents grouped and cabins placed around the grounds. All the buildings look either newer or are just very well maintained. It is by far one of the darkest campgrounds (bring your flashlight) and would be great for star gazing, so bring your telescope if that's your thing or just lay down on the ground and gaze up into the dark sky. Site is level, but know that you are camping in a mountainous campground so there are hills and each campsite is higher or lower than the campsite next to you. We only stayed overnight while traveling between destinations, but would definitely consider making a longer stay here the next time we are in the area.
