Hidden Haven RV Park — Reviews

Our spot was too close to the entrance road to the campground, no shade/trees, no fire ring/pit, no store, no dog park or other amenities (ex. swimming pool). I think that the prices are a little high given the lack of amenities. The sign to the entrance is easy to miss (only angled one direction and coming the other way we did not see it) and GPS took us through a small neighborhood with lots of speed bumps. That being said it was mostly quiet and relaxing. The bath house was well maintained and very nice. There is a great local grocery store 4 minutes away and Hinnant winery 5 minutes away. Someone had a loose dog that I had to let the manager know about and she came right away to help. Overall it was a good visit but honestly if we are in the area we will probably go to North Pointe RV Resort. Many more amenities for less price.

Easy to book at last minute while traveling, we were escorted to our site by the owner who greeted us as we were driving in!!!! New place so it looks like they are definitely doing a lot of work. Looks like brand new utilities which always makes me comfortable when hooking up to electric!!!!!

Nice site, quiet. And reasonably priced. Only here for 2 nights, but it worked well

The bathrooms are spectacular. Where we were parked no WiFi and couldn’t access email. The park is very new and I’m sure it will mature in appearance with time. Staff was very helpful. It’s quiet and the surrounding countryside is lovely. We’d stay again.

Bonnie did a great job of accommodating us. Some problems with the address.

Everything was great, but there is no laundry.

We stayed overnight in the way to Florida. Clean, quiet and perfectly level both side to side and front to back. Bonnie was extremely helpful both before arrival and she stopped by to help open the sewer connection (we already had it open but it was nice of here to stop by).

Fairly new park. Bathhouse is very nice and great ac.

Perfect little camp ground! We just needed somewhere to stop on our way to outer banks and it was easy in and out with really clean and nice bath house and good communication. We enjoyed it!

This is a quiet park. The roads and sites are gravel so it is dusty. There is a covered "patio" for folks to hang out but there are no other amenities beyond bathrooms and showers. The folks residing here are nice and Angela is helpful if you have questions.

It was super clean and well cared for. The bathrooms/showers all brand new looking clean and even had adorable decorations. The staff pulled up as soon as we got there to check in, tell us about the place and see if we needed anything. This made us really secure knowing the staff had such a close on on the place since we were nervous about leaving our camper since we plan on on spending most of the day hanging out with family in a nearby town. They allowed dogs which was the main reason we choose Hidden Haven. All the neighbors seemed friendly and waved yet gave us privacy. Honestly thought it would just be a mediocre, run of the mill RV park good for passing through town but right off the bat we were in pressed with the friendly staff and extremely clean bathhouse that I had to come leave a review

I struggled on how many stars to give for a couple of reasons. Bottom line up front, the staff was friendly and the price was very good. So that was a very good start. Few things that were a factor. 1. Wireless internet was down and would be all weekend. No ability to stream TV or do any online computer work. Not good. 2. This is a MINIMAL RV park. There is literally NOTHING in the park except the RV sites and a bathroom building. No playground, pool, hiking or other activities available for families or kids. Now this is a newer RV park and there are plans to upgrade and add more but currently there is nothing. 3. All sites have full hook-ups but nothing more. Most RV parks have grills, picnic tables, fire pits or some site items. There are no site amenities other then the hookups so plan accordingly if you like or need those things. For us these things were not a big deal as this was a weekend shakedown trip as we opened up the camper for the first time this season. We were just there to make sure that there were no maintenance issues and that everything worked as it was supposed to. So we weren't there for the activities etc, BUT if we were looking for a place to go and enjoy we would not go there again until they built it up some more. Final thought. The locations has potential but it needs a lot of work and or additions if they want to attract the family vacationers in any numbers. The way it is now works for the long term stays, no kids but it isnt close to a family friendly vacation RV park.

Excellent place for weekend camping or a quick stop for traveling - easy in and out, good power and level sites. Google maps is not accurate - off by a street - it is on Crystal I think.

Good campground. Short ways from town. Really good motorcycle riding roads. Owners are super cool and accommodating. Easy to extend visit. Not many amenities but I’m a traveling worker so I doesn’t matter to me. It looks like they are expanding.

Nice park. Restrooms and Shower was very clean. The only two things that kept me from posting five stars are as such: 1. Sewer Caps. I would recommend installing sewer caps. Having them open to the environment is a breeding ground for gnats and bugs. 2. More Trees for shade. During the hot months, campers A/C will be working hard to keep cabin cool. I understand that this is a newly open RV park, but recommend planting more trees
