Howling Hills was exactly what we wanted. Quiet, clean and accommodating. Highly recommend for a short stay in the area. We were here 1 night so we could bike the 400 trail. Bathrooms were very clean.

It's a brand new campground. It was clean and well maintained unfortunately it rained for the weekend we were there. Will try again.

Nice quiet campground surrounded by the beauty of Juneau County near Wonewoc, WI. Very little light pollution makes for some amazing nighttime views of the sky. The owners were very friendly! We rented a cabin and they made sure the air conditioning was turned on ahead of time so when we arrived it was perfect! Our cellular network coverage was the best I've had at a campground in ages. We have strong 5G the entire time. The Smart TV in our cabin was able to stream movies with no problems.

recently stayed at Howling Hills in Wonewoc, WI, and it was an unforgettable camping experience! From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with the kind of hospitality that makes you feel like family. The campground is beautifully nestled in the hills, offering peace, privacy, and absolutely stunning views—especially at sunrise and sunset. Our campsite was clean, well-maintained, and surrounded by nature. Whether you’re in a tent or RV, the setup works perfectly. The sounds of nature at night—especially the distant howls that give the campground its name—made it feel magical. The amenities were great: clean bathrooms, convenient fire pits, and plenty of space to roam. This is the kind of place where you can disconnect from the world and reconnect with what really matters. Whether you're an experienced camper or just looking for a weekend getaway, I highly recommend Howling Hills. Can’t wait to come back again!
