Idaho Springs RV Campground — Reviews

Overall, the tent campsite met our needs. The bathroom and showers were very nice, highly recommended. We also appreciated the suggestions for local activities and restaurants. Our family took the suggestion to ride the Georgetown Loop Railway-- it was a blast. Two things to keep in mind, the tent sites are up very steep hills and a 4WD vehicle or at least a vehicle with high clearance should be recommended. Second, though no fault of the campground, it is located along I-70, so we didn't sleep well due to constant vehicle traffic noise all night long. It is recommended to bring ear plugs for tent campers! But overall, it was conveniently located for our travel destination and convenient to local attractions.

Right off the highway, clean bathrooms, I was in the car camping spots so I didn’t see the rest of the property but for what I needed it was perfect. Owners were nice and I even got a free rock concert from the boys 🤣

Camp host always helpful and attentive!

Great location for “base camp”. Close to town of Idaho springs and Georgetown. Plus not too far from winter park granby grand lake and west entrance to RMNP. Little noisy with interstate but we didn’t mind. Nice clean park and very friendly owners 😉

Easy access to I-70. Great facility and hook-ups. This is a great place to stay if you are going out each day and traveling around the area! Would stay again. Thank you 😊

Campground had beautiful views, sites were very level and everything functioned well. Only criticism (and no fault of the campground) was the road noise from I70 highway.

Just a fantastic rebuild of this location. All amenities working as expected. Love the wood chip landscaping. Excellent reservation and alert software pre arrival. One note, the final pre-arrival email might be edited to say, your precise pad reservation will be texted to you at least 4 hours before arrival.

This was one of the best camping spots I’ve stayed at in Colorado. The site felt private, quiet, and completely surrounded by beautiful forest and mountain scenery. It was the perfect mix of rugged outdoor camping while still being comfortable enough to relax and enjoy the area with my dogs. The campsite was clean, spacious, and had an incredible natural layout with trees, rock formations, and amazing views all around. We loved how peaceful it was during the day and at night. It felt far away from everything without being difficult to access. The atmosphere was exactly what you hope for when camping in the mountains. This was also an excellent dog-friendly spot. My dogs had an amazing time relaxing, exploring, and enjoying the outdoors safely. The area was calm, scenic, and ideal for anyone who enjoys nature, hiking, off-roading, or simply disconnecting for a while. I’ll absolutely be coming back and would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a true Colorado mountain camping experience.

Phenomenal place, super accessible from i70 and the kindest owners. They were very helpful and have an awesome gnome/fairy garden treasure hunt that my wife and daughter enjoyed so much!

Everything about my stay here (for almost 2 weeks) was amazing. Fantastic location, cleanliness, excellent communication and incredible facilities will keep me coming back to them for all of my Colorado stays. Truly just a wonderful stay. Fairly new facility it is close to the road you hear a little bit of traffic at night very well kept

Sites were easy to get in and out of. Owners were very helpful throughout the stay. Would recommend to anyone needing a place to stay in the Idaho Springs area.

This is the perfect RV park for my skiing activities. I can reach a half dozen major ski areas in Summit county in about an hour drive. Very nice facilities.
