It’s a simple campground, seems to have many long-timers. It is almost completely grass, very level, good hookups, and a really nice store across the street where you check in. Did not use laundry/bath.

Lots of space, not crowded and quiet

Perfect for a one night stay to catch the ferry the next morning that was just 1 mile and 2 minutes away. Really nice people and the most complete market across the street. The grounds were clean. flat and plenty of room with a picnic table. We'll be back!

Nothing fancy but a great place to stay before boarding the ferry to Ocracoke. Very nice laundry and bathrooms with plenty of hot water. Sites were level and easy to back into

Everyone was very pleasant. We tent camped and had the restrooms close and the laundry facility made it even better. We had a great time camping and even got to meet a couple of pups on leash. It was great.

This was by far our best vacation EVER!!! Sherman the owner was super nice We stayed in the trailer, even though it wasn't water front the beach and ferry was only a mile away. We bicycle to the beach in just a short ride. This is my "deserted island" as the closest chain store was Dollar General was a 15 minute drive from here & Walmart an hour. Awww peace and relaxation. However, if you needed anything Sherman store had it all. I mean everything except the belt we forgot at home. And, where most camping stores are over priced his was reasonable, I mean for the convenience I didn't expect Walmart prices more like your regular grocery store. So, if you get a chance to stay bring your Deep Woods OFF, but his place is clean and everything you could need.

It was a good safe place to stop over on your way to another place.

Very simple and relaxing campground with super nice "local" campers who were very welcoming. The only complaint is how bad the mosquitoes are at night, but we'll definitely stay there again.

Perfect for what we needed. Good location. The sites could use some picking up - we had a lot of paper and other trash items on the site.

Would give it a 5 except it’s not pretty. Everything else was perfect - spacious site, full hook ups plus wifi, nice bathroom that was perfectly clean. I especially liked the great general store across the road, which is where you check in. They had a little bit of everything from propane parts, fishing lure to basic groceries, ice cream cones and even the right battery for my car key.
