Jekyll Island Campground — Reviews

It was as we expected. A lovely campground…but gosh it would be over the top with a pool! All these new additions and improvements but add a pool. The beach is great but the brown water makes you want to come wash off and soak in a pool.

Muggy and despite constant deet insect repellant, mosquitos bit right through my clothes. I am coveted in about 50 + bites. Your place and escort in were exceptional. I will be back in the winter.

The campground was great, the guide to our campsite was great. Friendly staff. I would highly recommend bringing lots of bug spray to repel the gnats and mosquitoes.

Mosquitoes were awful. Candle, bug spray, nor bug bracelets kept them away. We even tried the Johnson’s cream. If you have lil ones that are allergic to mosquitoes, like I do, please keep them from here.

Place was beautiful and people were friendly. Was not prepared for the mosquitos and wish the tent spot had a pad to keep tent out of mud.

Couldn't ask for a better place to camp, we really enjoyed our time for the week we were there. Will definitely be planning on coming back, Thank You

The campground is lovely. Restrooms were clean. People that worked there were polite and helpful

Enjoyed every moment on Jekyll Island. The folks that host the campground are pleasant and took time to answer questions about things to do and see. All facilities were in working order and clean. The campground was completely full but our site had plenty of room. Neighbors were VERY close but never heard anything in the evening from anyone. Can’t wait to come back again!

We love Jekyll Island great food, great beaches and so much fun to explore and history to find and learn about 🙂👊🇺🇲
