Jerniman's Campground — Reviews

The office personel were very nice and so helpful. They let us come in early because we arrived on Ocracoke early. The sites were pretty close to each other and the road was a bit bumpy but that’s ok. The bath/showers were very clean. We had some shade and overall it was a positive experience. We would stay again.

Staff was very accommodating with regard to check-in, fellow campers were quiet at night, and we were glad to get a good deal on the side-by-side ATV the hosts rented us. Would stay here again in the future.

We love Jerniman’s Campground It’s a great location, the owners are wonderful people my family comes to the campground a few times every year.

They had everything we needed and the camp spot was nice and sheded by two beautiful trees! Conveniently located to town and having the convenience store right there was a bonus.

Easy in easy out. Arrived earlier than expected and they were very accommodating.

This is a nice, quaint family run campground. It is small but is in a great location to access everything in town. We arrived after hours and were a little confused if we could really drive all the around the circle to pull through our camp spot (we are 34ft and were pulling a trailer). The owner was responsive and clarified we could drive around the loop and pull through. Some spots are very spacious and some spots are pretty tight. We were in 18, while it is directly beside the bath house (which was pretty decent) it was very large on our awning side. Plenty of room for our dogs and lots of space between us and our neighbors. The owners are super nice and friendly. We will definitely be back again.

Over great place with great hospitality.

The weather was good, we did have to stay first night in another site , then move next morning to our reserved site for 2 nights, the campers decided to stay another night n not move because it was pouring rain. Check in 3, check out 11, I suggest for owner to drive by to enforce their rules, he not aware they were still there at 3:30 when we arrived.

This was the first time for us staying at Jerniman’s. We had a great time the staff was so welcoming and very nice. Great location our teens were able to shop around the village and do lots of sightseeing. We plan to make this an our spring break destination next year as well.

Electrical Issues, not kept up. Very rough around the edges.

Clean bathhouse, staff was very helpful and polite.
