Jomeokee Campground — Reviews

Very relaxing, nice place to stay. Clean bathhouse. Owners responded quickly to any texts. Two campground dogs were friendly and well behaved; they did not beg for food and did not come for pets to anyone who didn't call them. The campsite is also conveniently located, just 7 minutes from Pilot Mountain and 30 from Hanging rock. We would definitely come back.

The owner was very accommodating and guided us to an upgraded site because we were coming in after dark.

Very quaint camping spot. We had a view of Pilot Mountain from our site. John the owner was so nice and recommended places to see in the area. The camp pups were sweet and very friendly! We will definitely return.

Quiet, breathtaking views of Pilot mountains. Plenty of room to explore and spend time with family.

RV 1 site was perfect - large, easy access and not near anyone else. Tom and the 2 German Sheppards along with Merle the cat, met us at 9pm when we arrived. Had a perfect view of Pilot Mtn and beautiful weather. The location of campground was also easy to get to from Rt52 and tour the area

Excellent view of Pilot Mountain, quiet and peaceful. Wonderful “greeter” dogs to welcome you. Our site RV1 was in a grassy field near entrance. Stayed only 1 night passing through. King, NC is just down the road with lots of places to eat , shop, get groceries. Campground is just off highway with easy access. Get an RV site near the entrance, because the roads further back were rough. Owner was onsite and pleasure to talk to shortly after checking in. Great place to stay if visiting the area.

Jomeokee is a beautiful park, i need to come for a weekend for some live music. Good rest rooms and showers. The view of Pilot Mt is fantastic.

We love Jomeokee campground! Have visited twice already since May. The views are stunning. The grounds are gorgeous and the owner is so friendly! The dogs are so sweet and it just feels like home away from home! One of our favorite spots!

The view!!!! RV site one was fantastic and watching the mud run was great! After the mud run cleared out, the campground was quiet and peaceful - exactly what I needed as a weekend getaway

I liked the somewhat informal and convenient arrangement of campsites. Eg. Campsites had water hydrants placed conveniently so that each hydrant could be shared by 4 campsites. A campsite available was a relief given that it was Easter weekend and Spring Break. The junky equipment along the entrance road was a red flag at first, and might have a negative impression on new campers. Personally, I enjoyed examining the equipment. A large group of ethnic campers arrived and set up. Their music was at reasonable volume and turned off at 11pm as required. However, the groups loud conversations and constant laughter all night that made it hard to sleep. The owner came at about 6 or 7 am and kicked them out of the campground. I have a lot of respect for the way the owner handled the situation. It was unfortunate that the issue was not handled hours earlier. Even so, I will not hesitate to book another campsite.

Tom’s place was like home! Up close view of Pilot Mountain, open space, and very low key! Walk barefoot, count the animals and make time for a conversation with Tom!

The view was absolutely breathtaking and our host was very very responsive and helpful. Quiet, nice sites, a lovely way to wake up and go to night with Mt. Pilot right there
