Keyser Pond Campground — Reviews

Nice campground, unfortunately so close to a busy highway that traffic noise is constant. That being said, our waterfront site was nice, though why the water hook-up was 20 feet from the other utilities (electric and sewer), was puzzling. Thank goodness we had an extra hose. Bathrooms could use some renovations, and not thrilled with having to pay to shower.

Very friendly staff, beautiful campground. Had a lot of extra things for everyone to do.

The location is far from anything. The bathrooms are rustic. About 75% of the camp spaces are permanent campers. Has a nice game room but it's not air conditioned. Staff was nice.

Clean sites and a lot amenities/activities on the grounds to keep you entertained. Would be great for a family trip.

The camper we stayed in was nice. The deck over the water was even better. The personal fire pit and swing were a bonus . The kids loved the swing. All in all of was a good time had by all.

Great place, the owner was great, provided great hospitality. Will be going back

Quiet, relaxing and clean

Awesome campground, very well kept and the owners, staff and seasonals were all so welcoming and friendly. Definitely will be going back!!

Staff was very helpful. Got a free upgrade to our camp site. The camp itself is clean and kept well. My only reasoning for not giving 5 stars is you have to pay to use the shower.

I visit multiple times a year, when I'm in the area. This is a great location with a great staff. wonderful pond with access to canoes and kayakes. Variety of sites for RVs tents or if your like me, a hammock.

Sites were very small! We were camping with friends and our sites were literally only as wide as our campers with the awnings out. Our friend’s fire pit was too close to the camper to use- 4 ft from the camper. Our fire pit was pretty much on the path to the beach. The path to the beach was next to our site so as our site was so narrow it was as if people were walking through our site. The electrical hookups were in awkward locations that also impacted where we parked.

Trailer 48 was not even cleaned well. Dirt had to be swept out bugs everywhere and my wife got attacked by bed bugs. Place was nice but would never recommend staying in one of their trailers

Let’s preface this with I would typically NEVER make a post like this….. If you know Jonathan Bednark and I, we are avid campers who absolutely love New Hampshire. When our friends wedding was going to be hosted in Bedford, NH we were so excited to have the opportunity to camp for the weekend and celebrate our two friends. We try different campgrounds all the time because every site we’ve ever had is quiet, serene, friendly staff and has large accommodating sites/firepits. When we arrived at Keyser Pond Campground, after checking in with staff, we sought out to our drive up site. I was taken back immediately by the highway being within 100ft. of our campsite. The cleared area for our tent was just big enough for our two person tent and chairs. There was no privacy between sites, and the fire pit was just bigger than my size 7w foot. I was so sad because we were so excited to have a camp site for the weekend. I called the suggested hotels and booked our hotel for the weekend because we had minimal time between setting up and getting over to the rehearsal dinner. We kindly returned our pass to the front and Jon had told them we were super uncomfortable having the highway directly behind us (nevermind the other disappointments) but had booked a hotel. The girl at the front said she would talk to her boss and hopefully be able to issue a refund. We waited all weekend for any sort of call or email to even just chat, thinking a conversation would atleast be prompted due to our inconvenience. I then received this email and I was so taken back by not only the lack of professionalism but the passive aggressive tone that you can hear through the email. I emailed back and then was still so shocked that I called. Jen’s immediate tone and answer on the phone was very rude and overall so unprofessional that I said thank you for your lack of accommodation and the call was ended. I love to share our travels and this is the first time I’ve ever been left so shocked by not only a campsite but the management. We usually become friends with everyone we meet
