Lakeside Campground — Reviews

We got there around 1 with all camps spots ready except one. However when I contacted the person that does the scheduling they were good about letting us move into an unreserved spot on the other side for the weekend. Thank you. Enjoyed our weekend tremendously.

We always enjoy camping at Lakeside. This time we needed to come in early for a medical appointment and we were very pleased with the host allowing us to park early in the day. On top of that, he checked to see how my husband was doing later.

Normally stay is great. This weekend some issues. Bathroom were not stocked well, actually out of tp in 2 stalls with 3rd one out of order. Restrooms not as clean as past stays. Grass was tall, which didn't help with mosquitoes. Dogs not on leashes. Most dogs were but hard to walk with dog on leash when some other dogs are not.

The campground was very nice and it was a great location and it was a good price. However the firepit was FULL of partially burned garbage - drink cans, food cans, a diaper(?),etc. and there was litter in the grass some of which we picked up. Also in the washrooms there were cigarette butts, toilet paper lying on the floor and one of them had dirt in the shower.

We couldn’t utilize the power as the outlet was a LONG way from the camper…. It was a bit rundown but well worth the price. Would have been nice to be able to see pictures of campsites before booking them. Overall a decent campground, would recommend to others..

Nice staff,clean showers, nice place to stop if you are traveling.

It was a great one night stop on our way west. Clean quiet stop, grounds lovely.

Wasn't happy when someone drove thru campground Sunday morning blaring their horn all the way around the loop.

Clean, good sized sites,. Lots of shade and near the reservoir with swimming and boating available. Quiet while we were there. We had a tent and had no trouble finding a site to sit it on. Bathrooms and showers clean.

grass wasnt mowed at our site,bathrooms were not cleaned well and not supplied well.very muddy at alot of spots.need gravel in those areas.some trees need trimming up in spots.

We loved the layout and the great energy for our three kids to play with others. Very kid friendly set up.

Usually have a great experience here but this time the bathrooms were a mess constantly water all over the floor and dirty. The toilets were low or out of toilet paper every time I went in. A lot of the spots had branches that should be trimmed back from the area the campers sit. The ground is very uneven and should be leveled out!

Clean with drinking water.Extra two chairs.reasonable price. Playground for kids. Definitely, we will come back again.

Nice park; Well maintained; Close proximity to hike/bike/fishing, etc.

Our site (26) may have seemed a bit odd as it was situated on the diagonal on a corner, but nicely private that way when we were sitting out. Although full, the campground was generally quiet,even when pleasantly busy during the day with a family reunion. Camp host didn't have any interaction with us. From what we could tell a wood wagon went by once a night, at whatever time. We chose to pick up wood elsewhere I'm town as we missed the wagon. Dump station well situated and clean. Overall a great stay. Would go again.

The host was extremely helpful for all the campers! He assisted in locating sites, helped a camper get water to their site, and extention cords to those who could not reach the electric connection. So nice to see the attentiveness and friendly service by a host!
