There is a nice grassy area to spend time in and the pond was great for paddling around. I'm only giving 3 stars because our site really needed some TLC. The picnic table was so lopsided it was unusable. It looked like it broke and then rather than fixing it properly someone just screwed it together as is. As mentioned, it was completely unusable. Also when we tried to use the sewer dump it began backing up. Fortunately I noticed quickly and shut it off but this could have been an utterly awful mess.

The Lakeside is the best place to stay in Christmas Valley, hands-down. We stay here once per year on business and have seen the property greatly improve with its remodel. Let's be honest, you're not going to get a 5 star experience in Christmas Valley. Yes, I wish there was better Wifi and a blow dryer in the rooms. BUT I acknowledge the challenges of having a hotel in such a remote location and the Lakeside does an outstanding job. The rooms are clean and quiet and it's so nice to have a restaurant on the property. The breakfast is really WONDERFUL. (Another improvement we've noticed is the coffee. It used to be awful but is tasty now.) Oh! Did I mention there's e a view of the lake? Seriously, this is the only place you should consider when staying in Christmas Valley.

Perfect location and beautiful inside and outside views on the frozen lake. Room was clean/new and comfortable. Peaceful. We will be back again, when visiting our grandkids that are only 5 min away.

Beautiful rooms, great food and wonderful staff. My son had an issue with his room. He has PTSD and it was hard on him. The manager was off site and drove a distance to make it right. She went out of her way. We will be recommending Lakeview to friends who come for a visit. Thank you for your kindness to a disabled man

Super clean room, very comfortable bed with soft sheets. Easy check in and check out. Really neat view from the porch of our room. Lots of birds on the lake, and the sunrise was spectacular!

Fantastic, newly renovated, clean rooms. Ate breakfast at the restaurant across the parking lot. It was also really good. Will be back.

Quiet, clean and ideally located for my recurring travel needs. Great restaurant within walking distance.

Nice clean, updated room and comfortable bed. The only issue was the sulfur smell of the water. Also good service and friendly host. I will stay here again.
