Leeman Field RV Park and Campground, located in Pennington, Virginia, offers an exceptional camping experience adjacent to the historic Leeman Field Recreation Park. Once the world's largest enclosed baseball field in the 1920s and 30s, the park now boasts a horse arena, Olympic-sized seasonal pool, Little League baseball, soccer fields, playground, tennis courts, pickleball, volleyball, basketball, a walking track, and a greenway along the trout-stocked North Fork of the Powell River. It's also the trailhead to the Stone Mountain ATV Trail. Summers come alive with tractor pulls, ATV races, outdoor concerts, movies, the Lee County Fair, and Independence Day celebrations with fireworks. In winter, visitors can enjoy an ice skating rink, Christmas Fantasy in Lights, and wagon rides.     The only problem we had was the shower pressure and that isn’t a deal breaker but it could have been better. Really hard to get warm water because it was either hot or cold with very little pressure. Other than that it was a perfect weekend even though it rained off and on all weekend. We will be back!!

    The campground was well maintained. We had site 21 which was probably the best site. Big tree for shade and open field full of birds. Very quiet throughout our stay. Restrooms were always clean. Showers available for campers but we didn't need. Great park along the Powell River. Nice paved trail (Greenway) that followed along river.
