Little Patch of Heaven Campground — Reviews

The park itself is very adequate. Bathroom facilities are a little dated, but kept clean. Access to the main roads, and downtown is great. I can’t give 5 stars because the groundskeeping was definitely sub par. The common areas were mowed and well maintained, but the area between spots was overgrown, which was quite a mess after it rained. Sandy did a great job of laying out the local attractions and the best places to eat, but I still can’t get over the lack of lawn maintenance on the sites themselves. I would stay here again, as long as they promise to mow the camp sites!!

Campsites were muddy from the rain due to no ground support like pads or gravel. They need to add gravel to the sites

A great and peaceful place to camp, entertaining hosts that made our stay extremely pleasant. Lots of history lessons.

We loved our stay; everyone was so friendly. They had so much information about the area and what to do. We do plan to stay here again.

We enjoyed our time in the area; Sandy was very helpful telling us about all the area had to offer. She was our tourist information while we were there, and she did an excellent job. The campground was located near downtown which was a nice bonus.

Great campground with very nice lakefront sites! The water pressure is excellent, and the staff is very helpful and nice. I would definitely recommend this campground and stay again.

Super clean! Showers & bathrooms were immaculate, camp sites were well maintained. We had a nice tree which offered shade during our stay. Sandy greeted us warming, offering brochures with local attractions; else especially enjoyed hiking around the Bernheim Forest—what a gem! We will absolutely stay here again. Thank you.

Sandy was very welcoming and helpful when we checked in. The campground is clean with access to bathrooms. We appreciated the pull through site. The campground is also in a great location to Bardstown as we enjoyed the distilleries and downtown.

This was a well groomed campground with the friendliest host! We'll definitely come here again. Very convenient location to all the attractions in Bardstown.

LTOH is a much camping area under the new owner and site managers. Sandy was a wonderful host and she made us feel welcome. The campground upkeep was good and especially the bathhouse.

A very warm welcome! Sandy was fantastic and so helpful with information about the area. We took her recommendation to see the Forrest Giants, and it was a great time! My husband enjoyed fishing in the lake. He says to use a frog and you’ll get a bit! We stayed in site 8- a beautiful view of the water. Overall, one of our favorite parks yet! Sandy was very attentive on who was entering the park. We felt very safe.

This was a small campground. It was clean. There were really no amenities other than wi-fi. Road traffic was louder than expected.

Small campground with nice fishing lake . Close to Bardstown and several distilleries . Restrooms were clean and well maintained. Will definitely be back if we do more distillery tours
