Log Lake Campground — Reviews

Even though we had full hookup, the water pressure was low enough we had to fill our tank and run the water pump. The grounds could be more taken care of. It appeared most, if not all bathhouse showers were out of order. The camp host/worker was very friendly, and met us as we pulled into the driveway. No complaints with her work. It appears there is a lack of funding for this park.

Small, not much to do

This campground could be a winner, however the facilities are rundown and have a rough appearance. There are only 10 sites with sewers. Large units over 32 feet will be very tight. That being said it’s a fine overnight place to stay. I felt safe there. Cell service was good, however no internet available. Received about 10 television stations.

The description is very inaccurate. I expected to be able to drive my aside by Side directly to the trail head. We had to trailer it to the nearest ORV parking lot 25 minutes away. The personal had no idea how to help us for this. Not a good value for the price The lights stay on all night long, they should consider turning off half of them after midnight. I had to buy tokens to use the showers OMG. Then the coin machine refused most of my coins. After several attempts I finally got one to work to turn the water on for 5minutes of runtime. The water never heated up to even warm. The water pressure was very low. Why do I need to put coins in a machine to take a shower anyway?? On my conversations with everyone this weekend was “if you know anyone looking to camp in the Kalkaska area? Pick anywhere else” it’s really ashame, I feel deceived from the start, on this app, and by the campground.

Our site did not have power. Staff had a long extension cord that they lent us for the weekend (site 10). Some of the sites in the middle appeared to be closer together, get a spot on the perimeter they seem a little bigger. Campground is located next to a really nice disc golf course, and a nice golf course right down the road. Town is not far away at all.

Small, clean campground, nice people, good fishing and disk golf, very family friendly!

The campground is wonderful and charming because of the wonderful people who run it and visit it. Everyone was so nice and helpful, we really enjoyed our visit. This is a city campground, so sites are small, very small, the water is not the greatest so bring your own or a filter and the beach access is public. We visited during the week so it was quiet. Our neighbors we absolutely wonderful and the lovely lady who ran the grounds was knowledgeable, helpful and kind. Overall we very much enjoyed our stay!

It wasn't bad the bathroom was not clean at all and it smelled horrendous. I was there for 4 nights and I don't think they cleaned the bathrooms at all. They had 3 shower houses but one was out of order 1 in the middle would not get hot at all it was cold and the farthest 1 on the right was the only 1 that worked for really. The lake was beautiful.

Nice people and lake

Bathrooms were always dirty and not much toilet paper. Campground itself was great except the light above our tent that didn’t go out. The showers were cold water only so we wasted money to take a shower when we couldn’t shower in cold water

The Lake is very nice however the facilities are very run down. There was barely shower pressure so good luck on a nice shower that you have to pay for with tokens.

Friendly manager. Clean restrooms. Great proximity to hiking and kayaking. Very nice park, I'll be back!
