Nice, older county Park Campground, with a boat launch and play area for children. We had site six, waterfront, water electric. My comment about the site is similar to another camper, it was freshly covered with topsoil and grass seed. Fortunately for us, it hadn't rained until the last night. The owners had no problem with us moving to the site next-door that had much more gravel than dirt. It is the end of the season, perhaps this isn't the normal situation. Located only 10 minutes outside of the town of Alpena, where we found Walmart, Meijer and Aldi's. We also took a 1.5 hr drive South to Tawas to meet friends for dinner at RT23 BBQ. A beautiful drive. Another day we drove 30 minutes north to Rogers city and got on the bike trail. My husband used the restroom and said they were clean. so I'd say all in all the location is good.

Overall good stay. Site needed grass improvement as with the rain overnight, there was a fair amount of mud and puddles on the site. Facilities are clean and updated.
