Loyston Point Campground — Reviews

I love the campground always kept up well. Amenities are great. This time the main restroom seemed to be not as clean. Also the bathroom outside light is activated on motion and seems you have to walk across the dark parking lot and be right at the door to activate. I would like better lighting to feel safe.

The Site on the Lake is absolute marvelous, every morning and every evening, especially on our stay in fall. The Woods and the hiking trails nearby are great as well. Restrooms and showers are okay. We would book this campground again and only a site by the lake.

Loved our RV site, nice and private. Shade in the evening and woke to a beautiful sunrises. Availability is limited sites due to full time campers, several sites were travel trailers were parked, and no persons camping. I understand Loyston has a row of full time summer lottery campers, but it seems there are many other sites that could be available for individuals vacationing. Guess if TVA gets there $$$ that's all that matters... We did enjoy our vacation there and may choose Loyston Pointe Campground again.....just have to book in advance in hopes you obtain a desirable site.

View was fantastic. Bath houses were super clean. Most of the water sites unfortunately drop down so much it is very very difficult to park a camper in them, took hubby 30 min but he finally got it but then site was so unlevel we had to use all 20+ leveling blocks.

The campsite was clean and very peaceful, just what we were looking for. The staff is friendly and very helpful. The entire area is so beautiful! We would definitely stay here again.

It is always a great stay. Campground staff is friendly and knowledgeable. The restrooms are clean and well kept.

Clean campground and bath houses. Nice views of Norris lake. The staff and hosts were very pleasant.

We love this campground. Nice people. They have ice and wood that is available after hours on the honor system. Such a nice touch! The views are beautiful, and the campground is clean and well-kept.

Good overall, not enough parking

We had no water from about 7am Saturday morning, due to the water hose coupler being broken. We were not able to locate anyone for assistance, and decided to leave early. When we initially set up on Friday, we were told that this very thing was a known issue, but that the campground was hopefully going to have hard piping installed sometime next year. With no available water, we might as well have been tent camping...

The camp sites are large and beautiful. The staff are always friendly and helpful.

Loved our site and the camp hosts were very friendly. There are always very nice people camping there and you can't beat Norris Lake.
