Majestic Oaks Campground — Reviews

Very clean and quiet, even during crowded holiday weekend

We stayed for two nights when visiting the Lake of the Ozarks. We used a tent (site D) which was easy to pitch on the gravel area - but was quite a distance from our water/AMP hook-up so an extension cord is highly recommended. Tent sites A-D are also close to the main road and there is a lot of loud traffic but our site was closer to the cabins then the road. The laundry, pool, and outdoor activities were great bonuses. We paid for firewood to be delivered and it never was & the bathrooms aren’t the nicest. Other than that our stay was pleasant and convenient for our plans.

The stay and placement of RV was perfect. Wish the office had stayed open longer on Saturday and was open on Sunday.

Plenty of shade, nice concrete pad, and very quiet.

We had a great visit. The campground is quiet and peaceful. Loved how convenient the pool was for our grandchildren. We will definitely be back next year.

It was awesome and friendly hosts! Site was level - kids loved the pool!

Edited to add: Lots of trash pandas so lock up food and trash! I loved this little RV park / campground. We were tent camping for one night at site G. We got in about 5:30 so in the evening so the office was closed. There was a paper pinned to the board with all of my info and a map. It was a little hard to find the spot because I didn't think I could drive my bigger truck down the small road, I thought it was a trail, but it did end up being the road. The firewood I purchased was already at the site so that was really nice. Also, it was a nice shady site with a couple of ways to pull in, a nice picnic table, and a fire ring. Electric worked and it was pretty private. After we got set up we went for a dip in the pool which was awesome!!! I was with my 8 year old son, just mom and kiddo on this trip, and there was plenty to keep us busy. We rode bikes around, played basketball, and he swung on the giant ball swing. There were many activities that we didn't get the chance to try like volleyball, checkers, dirt diggers, soccer, just lots of fun activities to stay busy which is excellent for families or kids. I wish we had more time but we were road tripping. Also, we didn't want to tent camping again because it was supposed to be very severe storms. I would have booked a cabin to stay an additional night but it required two nights stay. I wish I had booked the cabin and just stayed for two nights. It was lovely! But hindsight is 20/20 as they say. One thing I thought needed attention were the bathrooms. The small one near us was old, had a lot of deaf bugs, and I couldn't find the light. The bathrooms, behind the office were also very smelly and pretty grimy. I didn't get to see the large bath house. All and all, I would love to stay again! It really was beautiful and the pool and activities reminded me of when I was a kid, which was fun to share with my son.

Your location is easy to get to right off the interstate and you had everything we needed

The campground is great to work with as I had many schedule changes that they were willing to work with me on. I have stayed with these folks several times and highly recommend the campground to anyone that wants to stay at a nice facility.

The campground was great for my needs, my only complaint would be related to bathrooms. This location is designed for people with RVs primarily, so the bathroom facilities are smaller and not as many compared to campgrounds configured for more tent campers. In fairness, I was there during Bike Week and the campground was full. I was very happy that I was able to get a campsite that allowed me to set up my hammock tent, it is rare to find a campground in the Midwest that allows that.

Great place to stay and they are very accommodating.
