It’s a great place for everyone! The only complaint we have was Mother Nature, which can’t be avoided sometimes.

AMAZING!!!! BEAUTIFUL!!!!! The lack of the 5th star is for no pool access outside of the pay water park, and weak wifi. Outside of that, picture perfect!

I will say my overall stay was meh... My kids and wife really like some of the parts of the resort but there was a lot that was lacking. Here is my pros, cons and additional tips for anyone going. Site: 144 Gravel site Pros: - Clean sites, bath houses and beautiful area - Lake swimming area right at our site - WIFI was great! Probably the best we have had at any campsite. - Fairly quite - Shaded area which helped in the heat of the day Cons: - Extremely unlevel site, the site was almost impossible to get in to with someone behind us and in front of us. Took us 5x longer to get setup then any other site we have ever been - On the map it looks like our site has plenty of room....it doesn't! It's one continuous gravel pad for three sites. It was very tight. Luckily are neighbors were great but it made it very very difficult to pull in and out. Also they decided to put some giant bolder right at the entrance of our site which made it really hard to get close to the utilities. - The "free" beach (Landshark Landing) is very small and over crowded. Thank goodness we didn't have to pay because it would not be worth the money you have to pay for it. - You can't bring a cooler, food or drinks to Landshark Landing. You can bring water but not in a cooler. After walking from parking lot all the way to the beach (0.3 miles downhill the way there and uphill on the way back), they will turn you away if you bring a cooler, drinks other than water or food. - Beach bars and restaurant (Landshark Bar & Grill) are extremely over priced. Get ready for $12+ drinks. I spent $100 on two adult meals, two kids meals and an appetizer. - Landshark Bar & Grill is your only choice for food in Landshark Landing, except for some small shack that does sub sandwiches which looked very unclean. So you can't bring your own food in so you have to eat at their restaurant which is very over priced. - We didn't go to the water park because it was extremely over priced for the little amount you can do. It is almost the same price as DISNEY'S TYPHOON LAGOON! - We didn't go to the Tiki bar because we didn't have a golf cart and there is no parking for normal vehicles. With two little kids it was to far of a walk. Wish there was some kind of parking for it. - Check in process was kind of annoying. Maybe I've been spoiled but I'm use to people meeting you as you pull up and check you in right at your vehicle. When I showed up there were 4 vehicles in front of us and you have to leave your vehicle and go inside the office. You have sign additional paperwork and then wait for everyone in front of you do the same, so you can get around them. We waited almost 30 minutes just to check in. Additional Tips: - Make sure you bring EVERYTHING because there is nothing, I mean NOTHING, outside the resort. 30+ minutes to closest grocery store. There aren't many restaurants in the area, so you don't have much of a choice but to eat at the resort. - If you can get a golf cart, the resort is very hilly and even with bikes I couldn't see my kids being able to ride very far. Overall the area was beautiful and my kids loved the swimming area right next to our campsite. But beyond that it all felt underwhelming and overpriced. There are many other RV resorts that have great waterparks that are free to campers and places to enjoy without taking out a second mortgage to afford it. Still up in the air if we will return.
