All in all we had a nice stay at Lion's Den Campground. The staff couldn't have been friendlier or more helpful. The lake is a beautiful mountain lake. We went kayaking and had a great time. Other guests were friendly as well. We did have difficulty with our power cord reaching the breaker box and had to park very close to the neighbor's site in order to get it to reach. We were on Site 19. Be sure to have plenty of hoses to reach the water connection as well. I think they even mention this in their information. We were there over the 4th of July weekend and the campground was very full, but everyone was respectful and having a good time. There were food trucks, live music, and a nice fireworks show over the lake. It's a bit of a rustic campground compared to some...ie: vault toilets with quite a wait at times as there were only 4, pay showers, and an additional $30 fee if you would like to use their dump station. Sites were very close together as well.

Its a good sleepy campsite that has enough basic amenities to keep kids entertained on a short getaway without being too far from civilization.
