Mirror Lake Retreat — Reviews

Our stay at Mirror Lake was exactly what we needed. Time to relax, recover and rest. This campground was so quiet, and very well maintained! The grounds are used as a Retreat for groups, we saw a few small groups but not many campers. The restrooms and showers were clean! If you are looking for a relaxing get away this is the place! We look forward to returning. Thank you Mirror Lake.

Campspot has several things they need to fix on this property. Directions for getting there need to be fixed, such as using the Taconic Parkway is forbidden by trailers and rvs. A few other amenities listed are not available.

Nice camp ground. Sites 1-8 will be hard to level for a big rig. We are 35ft. We moved to site 11 which was level and under a large tree so lots of shade. The reason for 4 stars is the sewer. It is uphill and we needed 30 get of rhino. Sites 1-8 would require extended power and water. Very quiet though and we had a great week here. Staff is super fruendly.

Nice quiet campground. Most of staff was very friendly. Rv spots were a little close together with mostly full timers. Lake was beautiful, but due to so many geese there was alot of poop. Nice big fish though. Seems like they were understaffed. Needed to ask for activities schedule snd nothing opened on time.

Lonely, sewer to far, left message to signal that another site is requested without a response, not enough lighting. I do understand that it is not time yet , off season, but still. The site was terrible.

I absolutely loved this campground. We will be back, next fall.

it was nice playground for our grandkids by out backyard sites. Actually the sites were tight and crowded. BUT we enjoyed the place very much. :)

Pros- Clean room Quiet area Close to Catskill Good food options in the area Cons- The bathroom was extremely tiny with very cramped shower and the sink was the tiniest I have ever seen. The cabin was more like a hotel room with another cabin sharing the wall. For a campsite that was huge, the cabins are very small. the shared wall , shared parking were a huge turn off. For $200/night, I found the same place not very impressive.

Lots of activities to do, staff was super friendly. We kayaked, played put put, hiked, got ice cream at the food truck, played in the game room, etc. They also offer archery (12 yrs & up) & rock climbing for an extra charge. You can rent a golf cart for the day. Only downside was the abundance of bugs (caterpillars EVERYWHERE, flies, gnat type bugs swarming your face), no biting insects thankfully, just nuisances- must just be this time of year since it is just getting warmer.

Great place to stay and relax to get away from it all!
