Newton County Fairgrounds — Reviews

It's very beautiful and well cared for. The remote location made cell phone and digital connection difficult and the wifi in the campground was weak and variable.

It was easy to make a reservation and the confirmation emails were clear and informative. The campground is well maintained with clean bathrooms. The sites are well-marked and level, dump station was very tidy with water available. The volunteers who maintain the campground do an amazing job!

It was very peaceful and well maintained.

Quite. We were the only ones there except for a very friendly man walking his dog . The grounds and facilities were clean. We walked around the grounds to get some steps in. We really enjoyed ourselves

Quiet place with all you need. Clean and spaceous restrooms near the sites. New and easy to use dumpstation. Wifi a bit unstable but at least it's there

The campground is well kept by volunteers who are also very helpful. We were the only campers there on the night of our stay. There is no office so you must find your own spot and the bath house uses a code. Having all this information prior to arrival would have given this camp spot 5 Stars. When visiting here plan on dinner at the Good Table restaurant, they serve excellent home style meals at a very reasonable price

It was fine!

I rented two spots next to each other. I was never able to bring in all my equipment to camp. Every day people parked in my spot, nobody seemed interested to deal with this situation when I brought up the complaint. When I asked the people next to me nobody knew who owned the vehicles.

The only phone number for the listing is no longer in service. It says there are bathrooms but they were all locked with “out of order” signs. Wasn’t able to get in contact with anyone about refunding my stay as I was specifically looking for a camp spot with restrooms/showers available.
