Pietrek Park — Reviews

The campground has nice large campsites. The change made on how to reserve sites for the Ashley for the Arts weekend was a rough learning curve and a huge change from the past.

Clean, quiet. Everyone is friendly Campsites are good size.

Mosquitos were vicious. No trails. Loved site 14---green and lush. Private site.

No picnic tables, campsites not marked. Long walk to the bathrooms

The park was clean, very quiet and beautiful. The staff is also amazing!

Quiet and clean. The individuals that take care of the park do a fantastic job.

We were the only campers there. Its a scenic 45 minute drive through the country from the main highway to get here. Pretty quiet, right in the river, clean bath house. Bring Lots of bug spray. There are moderately busy train tracks nearby and they run 24/7 and the by-way is also right there. Making for some extra road noise. Lots of cute wildlife. We heard some coyote and bobcats but that's nothing new for us. Lots of mosquitos

The campsites are very nice and roomy.

It was quite and relaxing. Some people need to keep their dogs on a leash. It would be nice if the people who rent the shelter would not wonder done to the campers. Otherwise it was great.

The campground is overall very well taken care of. We enjoy campfires but our site did not have a fire ring and we noticed several others did not have one, as well. Very small amount of firewood on hand. Train with horns goes by twice in the night.

Nice park. Quiet and small w/out a lot of amenities, but located in a scenic bluff area with plenty of tubing & kayak opportunities close by.

Communication with people in the office was very hard. Arrived and someone was on our site. Moved to another site and email the the details. Finally I got a call and it was all cleared up. Waiting on my refund for the site we couldn’t take. Only major complaint is that other people’s kid would ride their bike through our site and we’re screaming after 10pm
