Love this campground, always clean bathrooms and showers. Large camp spots, mostly level, grassy areas. Nice playground for the kids. Beautifully wooded disc golf trail. Very pet friendly with lots of areas for walking. Escanaba area has lots to do for everyone. 5 star all the way!

Site was a little dark and wet, challenging to park a camper due to all the trees. Closest restroom did not have showers. Train tracks directly behind ran all hours and lots of road noise.

Nice clean sites. Easy to order and get firewood delivered. Bath room facilities are some of the best I've seen and used.

Large sites and very clean restrooms.

SO Happy with the nice setting and the privacy of our cabin. The view was Stunning! I believe we will return.

Site needs some fill from the heavy rain making some wash outs. Very hard to get level. Also needs some grass seed to go with the fill.

Quiet Friendly atmosphere. Great sites. Close to Escanaba and shopping!! Definitely will be back.

Nice park. Large full hook-up site that was fairly level. Restrooms and showers were clean and functional. Staff was friendly and helpful. I would recommend this campground

We love everything about the park. My only complaint would be in the new section of camping with electrical and water on the east end of the park. The road needs to be better maintained. A few trees need to be removed along the road for better access as well. Thank you see you next time.

Great sites and easy check in

Clean, quiet,and relaxing along with great friends!

Well kept overall. Clean and nice bathrooms and showers. Friendly staff. Nice amounts of shade and sunny areas throughout campground. Fairly quiet. There are train tracks that run next to the campground and the train runs through all times of day and night. Front of the campground has a bit of road noise. Either of these may be issues if you are a light sleeper or used to complete silence. We stayed for 8 days and really enjoyed the stay. Had a deer visit our site while we were sitting at the campfire. Lots of other small wildlife around. Mosquitoes, flies and other bugs were not really an issue for us. Never had to use any of the sprays we brought along. We were at a full hookup site. The site was a nice size. Connections were nicely maintained so using them was not an issue. We loved that the sites were clearly marked (both with a post at the front and will large numbers on the electrical boxes). The site also had a tag with our name and reservation dates so it was easy to know which one was ours when we arrived close to dark. There aren't really lights around the campground (only at bathhouse) so you can't really walk at night without a flashlight or headlamp (something to be aware of if you have dogs). Will hopefully be able to visit again in the future!

Utility hook ups are awkwardly placed too far back and on the wrong side for site 44, a back in site. It may be better to offer the site as either back in or pull in an effort to offer the camper the most convenient position for hook ups. The pad is also unlevel and soft. Recommend adding gravel to level the parking area and grass seed and water the loose dirt areas.

We've been camping here for over 25 years and have always enjoyed the park. The walking trails are great, the scenery is great as well and the sites are always kept up and clean.

We had a wonderful time at Pioneer Trail. We hope to revisit the area again next year.Thank you for a great time.

Clean facilities and park with friendly people. I accidentally left a power cord earlier in the week and onsite manager, Wayne, remembered it and found it for me when I returned later the same week.
