Plamondon Whitesands Resort — Reviews

The campground was well maintained, clean, and cared for. The only problem we experienced during our stay was that the entire campground ran out of water. However, the issue was solved quickly by management.

I absolutely love this campground. My dog is welcome, and they have an off-leash area. The beach is long and lovely to enjoy away from crowds. I have been here for both concerts this year and both were so great! I can't wait for next year. The seasonal folks are very friendly, and it feels like a small family. If I had a decent trailer, I would 100% get a seasonal. I'm mostly a single female with a dog and I always feel safe here.

While our campsite was beautiful and right on the beach, it was not the site we requested which would’ve put us next to another family in our group. Apparently the manager emailed me a month prior to tell me about this change but I never received this email and was disappointed upon arrival. The campground was extremely loud from morning until 11pm on the Saturday, there was music blaring and a ?DJ making frequent announcements. Additionally the septic truck came by at 9pm one evening to empty the bathroom, why this wasn’t done earlier in the day is beyond me. Septic trucks are loud!! This is not a great campground for tenters or people with small children due to the noise. We also felt like the bathrooms could’ve been in better condition as at one point both toilets in the men’s bathroom were fully plugged and the women’s did not seem to get cleaned all weekend. I will say, the office staff were lovely and kind people and the ice cream was great. The lake is an huge highlight and the beach is very nice also.
