Platte River RV Park — Reviews

Camp host non existent. Site signs not existent. We found a place to pitch a tent and stayed the night. I’m guessing we in the right spot but who’s to know.

Although we didn’t see any staff while we were there for one night, they were friendly and helpful via phone. The campsites were spacious and nicely appointed. Campground was clean, and there was a nice play area for kids. Giving 4 stars instead of five because the amenities were limited.

It was an easy to find campground, and quiet. We arrived at night, and we stayed in the back lot and found things difficult to navigate and often unmarked. We took our best guess at where to park for the site we had and there were no issues.

It might be a good campground for the larger full self contained motorhome; I have a van camper which prefer using the on site bath house. For this campground, the bath house is just ok to get by.

Nobody to greet you. Made online reservations for a campsite and they were not numbered when we arrived. Didn’t have any idea where to park our R.V. campground map online was out dated, very frustrating!!!! Campground was not maintained, could be a nice spot if someone gave it some TLC!!!

Map on board was confusing as to were to go. Once down by the river area, it was a quiet, peaceful night.

This park advertised availability of primitive camp sites so we bought one online while on the road. Upon arriving (after dark) we found that no camp sites were marked and everything appeared to be full. So we parked our teardrop wherever we could find a spot and crawled in to sleep. Next morning we found that we had encroached on another campsite and had to leave in a hurry. Lesson learned: Don't try to arrive after dark at this site. Also, I think they oversold online as soooo many people were arriving with no place to go, no host, and no marked sites.

We did not get the site we reserved and was not given an equivalent site till after we had set up everything. Needless to say, pulling up stakes was out of the question. We had just driven 8 hours. There was no picnic table and the site had weeds. The overall location near the river is very nice. The dog run area was nicely kept too.

The campground was quiet and Kim, the host was very friendly. She helped us with directions to nearby attractions and businesses. It was easy to get to and hook- ups were working properly. Restrooms and showers were clean. Propane is available on-site. We enjoyed the stay.

The hosts were very nice and hospitable. We attempted to camp here in a tent, which was a mistake on our part. Showers are, by a technicality, showers, but are more like outhouses with a shower head, powered by brown assumed well water. There are porta-potties throughout the site, we did not find any flushable toilets. It was very buggy mid June, and the tent sites were mostly sand. I do think the listing stretched the explanation of amenities. This would probably be a really beautiful place to stay in an RV

Everything was great and the river is a nice touch I can’t say anything bad about our camp site it was the best I’ve been in for hundreds of miles. No complaints at all this stay was amazing.

I made the reservation the same day and arrived late in the evening. A message was left with a map and instructions. When I woke up, the trees were changing and Fall chill was obvious.
