Beautiful scenery, great hiking/biking opportunities, roomy lots, nice laundry and camp store facilities, friendly desk clerk (young lady). However, park patrol seemed constant as though they were hoping for infarctions. My daughter and SIL came over one night for dinner, and parked in the empty lot next to me. Mind you, half of the park was empty and they were there for 90 minutes AFTER DARK. Patrol pulled up, blocked in his truck, and began to take photos of the licence plate. We walked over and he said we needed to park in guest parking, which was not conveniently located, Common sense would dictate that you might take a moment to ask the occupied lot next door -- US -- if this was our vehicle. This gestapo tactic left a sour taste in our mouth and put a damper on the entire 6-night stay. Even the printed material you receive when you check in gave out a negative vibe, ie, any infractions and you will be asked to leave immediately and no refunds will be issued. We will not be returning.

Response from Point of Rocks RV Campground · November 2025
Thank you for your feedback. We’re sorry our parking policy affected your stay. Guest parking was close to your campsite. As noted in the rules you read at check-in, parking in empty sites is not permitted. Disregarding this risks disrupting another guest’s reservation and inconveniencing staff while with their family, sometimes even after midnight. Our patrol acted appropriately to prevent this. Policies are shaped by guest input to ensure fairness, safety, and an enjoyable experience for all.
