Beautiful location along a trout stream, clean quiet and well kept. Restaurant was cozy with good bar food.

The bathrooms are sub par! I can live with the fact they’re cinder block construction but I was pretty surprised to learn that you have to put quarters into a slot to get the shower to work. Also, there are no doors on the toilets; all you get is a clear plastic shower curtain to shield you from others who may be in ghe bathroom. My husband said the men’s bathroom needed cleaning-strong urine smell everywhere. The restaurant/bar area was pretty busy as everyone was watching Iowa football on the big tv’s. Food was decent - typical bar food-and they have some nice local beers on tap. Hosts were friendly and pleasant.

Great location for serious R&R. The restaurant and activities, open on the weekend, created a festive and fun atmosphere; while the mid-week was mellow and relaxing.

Clean campground, quiet and very relaxing. The creek is an added bonus. Close proximity to several nice hiking trails and biking trails that overlook the Mississippi River. My family would come back again!

Very nice campground. We got a tent spot which are in the back near the stream which is quite peaceful and nice. The restaurant is very good and the service is excellent. Good, generally clean bathrooms as well. Wifi wasn’t great where we were (I think a little beyond the access point), and T-mobile was a little spotty here, but we generally could connect, even if it was a little spotty or slow.

We have been coming to the Red Barn Campground for many years and always have a great time. The owners are very accommodating and take care of their campers. The restaurant has great food and we enjoyed entertainment this year. The owners are keeping the campground up to date with free WiFi and have planted new trees. We enjoyed watching the holiday wagon rides for the kids and kids at heart. We will definitely be back!
