Red Desert Rose RV Campground — Reviews

There was a very powerful, blaring light on all night directed right to the tent area. Obnoxious. But the bathroom was very clean!

The campground is poorly maintained. It is covered in weeds. No one was in the office at 2pm. Our site was so small that we had to back up our fifth wheel in order to keep our stairs from hitting our neighbors pedestal. I have never seen such a tight site! You can hear the train and the freeway all night. There is a much nicer place down the street. I will be staying there next time.

They are very sweet owners and they are working on the campground. The place was fun to stay at.

It looks like this campground had deteriorated over quite a period of years. There is evidently a new owner who is fixing everything up. What they have fixed up is looking better and better. I’m sure it will look really good when they are all done. But while we were there, the grounds were bare. The dog park was being torn apart, and it wasn’t in a good shape at all to begin with. There are many weeds. Overall, it really needs a lot more work. I do appreciate that the new owners are doing upgrades, fixing things, and trying to make it a better experience for people.

The campground is inexpensive, but unkept. We parked and got set up in a site one over from where we should have been. We asked the person in charge if we could stay where we were at, and she made it sound like it was a big imposition. Needless to say, may 5 other campers pulled in the night we were there. It met our needs, but it appears to be capable of so much more to increase business.

It was too windy with possible rain. We didn’t take the chance of adverse weather conditions.

It was good for a night. Shower room was clean .

Rose was wonderful! Management has always been very responsive. Fourth time through, and will definitely stop again.

This campground was not anything like depicted on the website. Apparently it’s under new ownership, but the website never said this. The sites were in poor condition with weeks growing under tables. We tried to move a table so we could get in, and the table was falling apart. I heard a lot of complaints from various campers. We were not able to get a refund for the second night, due to the rough conditions, and the manager just said she couldn’t. I hope the owners of this campground take a look at it, and try to make improvements.
