Rio Guadalupe Resort — Reviews

Our stay was fantastic! We traveled with another family, who wound up having some camper troubles, so we made to make some last minute changes for the night. The staff were very understanding and accommodating the next day when we went to talk with them and directed us to some more resources to try to help fix the camper troubles. The site was very clean, and Cabin #3 was perfect for our family to stay in while we were there. Unfortunately, we left something valuable there when we left, and didn't realize for a couple days. When we called to ask them, they had us describe what it was before disclosing they did in fact have it safely in their possession. We drove to get it the next day and the staff were very diligent in making sure it belonged to us before giving it to us, which was so appreciated!! Very blessed to have come across this sweet little place for our families' getaway!

Very peaceful and perfect location

Booked and paid the extra “lock in fee” for a pull thru site because I knew I would be arriving after dark. They canceled my pull thru, didn’t even notify me, put me into a back-in site that’s not even on the map, and all they had to say was “sorry bout that”. These people will throw you under the bus in a heartbeat! There’s lots of RV parks on the Guadalupe River, pick any one but this one.

Trees, close to river and city. Dog park and friendly people. Short drive to Gruene for a Grist meal and lots of trails nearby. Guadalupe River South Trail and Canyon Lake Gorge trails are easy 2 mile hikes.

Amazing park. Very well kept with great spaces. Beautiful area by the river!

We enjoyed our stay. The campgrounds are nice and clean. Great location to get to interesting places nearby. More bathroom are needed and could be a bit cleaner. See you soon.

Great staff. Very nice RV spaces with good tree covering. Located right on the river.

Amenities were not as good as I hoped for the price. No hand towels and only 3 bath towels for a 4 person cabin. Sheets had stains and were very rough.
