This is a gem of a spot for camping! The small town of Hesperia is perfect if you truly want to escape the big town sprawl. The campground, being right on the river, has a natural water ambiance. The campground was clean and well-kept. It is a simple campground so don't expect the amenities that a big campground will offer, but water, port-a-potties, and electricity are available. We had space #23, perfect and was within 20 feet of the river!

The host at the campsite is very helpful and answers any questions that you may have also clean camp ground and super awesome people that are seasonal.

The camp ground was nice we were right in the river but there isn’t easy access to the river from our site so we walked around. Not much in the town to do though within walking to the grocery store. No restrooms other than outhouse, no showers though we did have water access on our site something we didn’t know we had. Dump station was at a county park about 20 minutes away. Camp host was friendly and helpful biggest downfall was the annoying campers up till at least 2ish each day very loud along with their music. It was the 4th of July weekend I get that but they could have turned the volume down some. This group was part of the camp hosts so there was no reason telling them about it or at least they appeared to be. If you like weekend partying you probably would fit in well unfortunately we were there to enjoy nature and relax. Never heard from or saw the owner while we were there.

There was confusion on where our spot was and then we paid for an inland spot with water and electric. Thankfully some people we know allowed us to camp on their spot where someone wasn’t coming and not using and had water and electric. We did have a good time other than that!

Camping was great and plenty of room and activities. Only issue I had was my site did not have a dedicated water spout as called out on the website. Not a big deal, one of the campers had a splitter so we were able to be hooked up all weekend.
