River Roost RV Park — Reviews

Sites could use some love especially if you have puppies. Lots of goat head stickers in some. Owners are responsive and friendly. Right next to good BBQ. Gets 5* mostly due to surrounding parks being overly ran down or delaminated RVs all over the place. It definitely has much more potential than it’s using, but if you consider the area 5*.

We loved the accessibility of the camp grounds. The hosts promptly answered any questions we had. The bathrooms were clean updated and well kept! Our only complaint would be the stickers. Some of the sites, since we traveled in a group, were completely covered in these extremely sharp and oddly shaped stickers. They were poking us even through our thicker soled crocs and we tracked them everywhere. I will be picking stickers out of the carpet from my RV by hand for a good while. All the children got splinters and were crying. Everything was awesome except those dreadful pokey things.

Great location, clean, and close to town. Would definitely stay there again if we are in the area again.

Stay was pleasant and neighbors were very nice. The owners/management is very hard to get a hold of! Had an RV in my spot at check-in time. Check out time is 11am. They were still packing up very slowly at almost 3pm. I was unable to find a bathroom code in any of my documentation. As it was extremely difficult to contact management, I didn’t even bother with trying to get a code for the bathroom. Overall, would consider staying again. This is my second stay. My first stay, management was very responsive. This time, not so much.

The owners were very helpful and kind with getting us to our space and letting us know if there was anything needed to call anytime. There’s a BBQ restaurant on site. We didn’t eat there, but it smelled good! Some of the people that stay full time at park are loud and party through the weekend. One of them past us in a windy stretch of road with on coming traffic almost causing a head on crash. Lots of marijuana being smoked there also.

The park was very nice overall. Bathrooms were clean. Very quiet considering right next to the highway. Property could use a little decluttering. I mention this because it looks like they have been upgrading their building. Building looks very nice! The waste from the updates are piled next to the rock walls and makes the space look a little cluttered. That did not spoil my time there though! I will definitely use River Roost again!

Pretty tight quarters. Back was nice - busy road made it noisy. Nothing to do. Was like parking lot.

Very nice, clean, friendly people and reasonable rate. Just a little noise from hwy but quiets down at night.

The RV Park was in a perfect location for what we needed. It was quick access to the river and the city of Tahlequah. The owners were very friendly and wanted to make sure that we had a pleasant stay and asked us multiple times if we needed anything at all. It was quiet and easily accessible and the full RV hookups made it a trouble-free stay. We worked remotely from the RV and the Verizon cellular signal was sporadic, but the AT&T cellular signal was strong and consistent. Even though the spots were next to a cliff, we had a clear view of the southern sky and the satellite signal was perfect. We would definitely stay there again if we are back in this part of the country. They didn't have wifi setup while we were there, but it was being installed.

A beautiful campground next to the cliffs. Sites are gravel and roomy. We met the owner and it was a pleasure to visit with him.. Highly recommend River Roost RV Park.

For a new camp ground it had good size sites, easy access. Owner was in the process of getting bathroom and shower units open. Will definitely put it on our list for the future
