Cowichan River Campground — Reviews

Rated4.0out of 5Great!
Perfectly adequate in every way. Has a trailer park vibe which adds to the experience —many spots well settled like mini compounds. Very good customer service on phone —friendly and helpful.

Maintenance is not being done….washrooms are in need of lots of care, propane bottles overflowing on the ground around the garbage, lawns need mowing and raking….. Just looks rundown.

Almost no interaction with host, rv sites are over run with thorny blackberry bushes and weeds, toilets/showers are inadequate, not worth the money charged. Will not use again or recommend

The campground itself is good. Clean showers and bathrooms. Little river on site. Nice staff. However, loud music began at 4am coming from one of the business nearby.

Our site was occupied with other campers. The first night we shared a spot with another rv and the next night we just camped on a different site. Also the sanitair was a bit poor. The campingsites next to the river are nice.

We didn’t stay 5 minutes. The sites felt small and dry and I didn’t actually feel safe. It was very run down and seedy.

Too many people live in their RVs there. It's located in an industrial type area. It's not good for nature walks. The site was clean. It's close to town. Good for a hotel alternative. Close to town.

We’ve enjoyed our stay once again, location is great close to ferry, beautiful manicured gardens, close to beach walk, friendly efficient office staff, clean facilities, quiet.

Unfortunately we were disappointed by this campsite. Looks tired, bathrooms needed a good clean and bins needed to be emptied. No water when we arrived and no explanations/ apologies given .
