Rock Shadows RV Resort (Age Restricted 55+) — Reviews

We were just overnight stay. We were placed in the worst spot (500),, tried over 30x to get into this, even the neighbor commented this happens often. Needs to be removed from available sites. We asked to be moved and received a much better location.

Laundry, shower, and bathroom were out of commission for most of our stay. On the central laundry, you get hit with $8 per machine.

Enjoy our stay and plan on going back.

We enjoyed staying at Rock shadows.Due to the major upgrades that have been made, it is very nice. Great customer service at front desk. Reconnected with a few friends from when I was there workamper there a few years back. Local amenities close by. Staff were very pleasant and friendly.

Washrooms and showers not kept very clean. Should have had a picnic table on temporary sites. Under construction or some places not open. People were friendly, many activities, main hall was nice and that washroom was kept clean. Main gate not controlled.

Nice clean park with lots of amenities and kind people. The office staff is very accommodating and friendly.

I felt that the Rv portions of this place were extremely out dated and there were rat holes that go underground. I also saw and reported a cat that looked old and feral and had no use of its back legs, The gal in the office I told this to said they had tried to catch it for over a year. With no success.

Office staff contacted us to make sure we would arrive before the office closed at 3pm so that we could get parked in our spot before nightfall. Mary, the camp host was so helpful when getting us in our spot. Very friendly and welcoming. The neighbor next to us on the left of our spot 140 was very kind to my husband letting him know when trash is picked up. We did not use any amenities during our stay but felt very welcome.

The office is closed during the weekends in Summer. They sent me an e-mail about who to call to help me to back into my spot but I didn’t see it until after a friendly neighbor did the job. The power posts are in the rear of the spots and mine was on the wrong side so due to the 39’ length of my travel trailer, we didn’t have a long enough electrical cord to reach and had to buy an $80 50A extension. The site was also out of level due to recent excavation (our tires sunk into the loose soil) so we also had to buy a set of the FasTen long leveling blocks, too. All of these extra purchases nearly doubled our site cost. The pools, restrooms , and exercise room were all very nice. One restroom was hot and the TV in the exercise room was not working and mounted on the opposite wall to the treadmills. So, our visit was just OK.

Your RV Park was wonderful. Friendly people ready to welcome us to join their activities. Clean, nice dog walk, and in general a great place to stay. We will be back. Thank you for having us.
