It is a perfect park for overnight night stay better than Walmart. It’s an old park. Its a gravel parking lot .

Very peaceful and great location but bring your food, depending on the time of year, there may not be much available.

It was easy to get to. The bathrooms were clean. The laundry room was clean. I had cell service with Verizon. It is a small place, that is a little older .

Very clean and quiet. The only downside is no WiFi and I could only pick up one OTA TV channel which was a PBS station. I did not use their showers or restrooms. The electric 30 amp outlet was very loose and I had to work with it to get a good connection.

It was clean, quiet, easily accesible to walking to main street. Resturant food was good. Band we could hear in our RV was VERY GOOD. We didn't "mind" hearing the music Sat night. The only thing I would maybe take a 1/2 star back would be that the restrooms/ shower were not accesible, but not a deal breaker.

Facilities were clean and well maintained. The owner was very accommodating and pleasant and went out of their way for me. The campground shares a parking lot of a local bar. The patio where they drink is in plain sight of the campground. The shower building is attached to the bar. I never went for a shower unless the bar was closed. The bar wasn’t rowdy but…..when drunk people were near the bathroom entrance there was no way I was going to go in there. A privacy fence blocking the campground from the bar patio would improve things a lot.

While not the most modern, it was a very nice stay. Very peaceful. Clean bathhouse. Walkin to the very cute mountain town La Veta. Will definitely stay there again.

Relatively out of the way park with simple check in check out. There were 3 deer on the site feeding in the morning when we got up. Great views of the tri peaks and a restaurant at the entrance (Unaffiliated I believe). The bathhouse is a mix of what I would call rustic and useful. Fully functioning indoor men's and women's facilities including a shower stall in each and a washer and drier that take credit cards. The site is small but just what we needed.

The only thing I would suggest to improve is the bathrooms. Everything else was great.

The site map available on their Campspot reservation page didn’t match the actual layout of the campground. We paid a “site lock” fee of $20 to reserve a spot close to a bathroom, but that bathroom didn’t exist. There wasn’t even a building in the location where the bathroom was supposed to be. Instead, the bathroom was located on the backside of a bar, way on other side of the campground (which was just a gravel lot.) The site lock fee felt like a deliberate scam because there wasn’t a camp host/manager to speak to about it. There wasn’t even an office (well, technically I guess there was an office, but it was closed and boarded up. ) Shortly after we made the reservation through Campspot we were asked the “check in” online, which we did. We were then sent a confirmation email but all it said was “you’re checked in” with a phone number listed and nothing else. I eventually had to call that number to find out where the bathrooms actually were and how to access them (they was pad-locked shut.) That aside, I have it 2 stars because it has a beautiful view of the mountains and was a quiet place to stop for the night, despite the campground being in the parking lot of a bar (like, really, it’s literally in the parking lot of a bar.) No Wi-Fi, but the offer electric and sewer (we didn’t use the sewer though.)
