Sand Mountain Park & Amphitheater — Reviews

It was very well kept and all sites were nice.

I gave 4 stars because the water park closes at 6 on Saturday and Sunday. Absolutely ridiculous, especially during a World Series tournament. After playing ball all day the only thing our girls wanted to do was swim. We could only enjoy the pool for an hour. Also, the bar wasn't open on Saturday. Total bummer.

Clean property and nice concrete parking pads. Trash cans on each site was convenient.

The facility is absolutely amazing. The only issue was we couldn’t get in the bath house or laundry room nor could other people that were there. The code was not working.

Noise from dogs in the neighborhood woke is up 1 night. Otherwise SMP was clean and well planned for large and small rigs. Pleasant stay overall!

Beautiful park and campground. Really layed out properly. Easily accessible for rigs of all sizes.

We’ve never stayed at a camp site. We were very impressed!

It would have been nice to know that the large slide was not working during our stay, although for the age of our children they didn’t seem to mind. A LOT of folks (vagrants) cut through our campsite going to the walking area near the dog park. Also, there were several young people “hanging around” the bath house area, including skate boarders. The campground entrance was definitely not well marked. I was expecting something with the name Sand Mountain RV Park, and it is marked as River Rocks Landing Resort and Venue. It was confusing, and needless to say we passed by it a few times!

Did not provide current code fir bathrooms and phone was not answer during advertised hours

Because there was no wifi. This is one of the amenities advertised. Also, the last night, there was barely any water pressure. The garbage can outside was full when we got there.

Amazing grounds, seamless check in, beautiful facilities. Will be back when the water park is open!!
