This small campground is situated on the river. It is very well maintaind and walking distance to the shops/bars in town. The bathroom/shower building looks brand new and was spotless! There was a LOT of area to walk our dogs. We had 3 sites and all said that we would definitely stay again!

Sauk River Park Campground in Melrose is convenient to get to and the sites we were in are pull throughs, making it exceptionally easy to pull in and position.

The park is beautiful. Even the locals come to fish in the creek. The shower facilities are the best we have come across in our four years of cross country camping.

Beautiful, quiet, clean park right in the middle of the city! Our campsite was right along the river, so we felt like we were in the country when we looked that direction. TONS of stuff for the whole family to do since it's a city park: fishing, basketball, pickle ball, bean bags, frisbee disc golf, soccer, playgrounds (multiple!), baseball, and more. Highly recommend. We will be coming back (maybe even this summer!).
