Super basic hut but on a rainy night it was palatial over a soggy tent, and a pub next door!

Great food. Great beer. Good shower! Free coffee to go in the morning!

The staff were great. The site is part of the Pub's gravel parking lot that was divided up by plastic chain to designate a camping area. It was not as noisy as anticipated, given it a pub. Ground was sizable gravel and uncomfortable; bring some padding. A good central spot to explore the area. Wifi was hit a miss, something that could have been fixed for $100 with a repeater. Bright parking lot light could be modified to making sleeping better. Not a place to spend a day around you camp site relaxing. A bit more thought and planning would make ot more palatable. However if you want a base camp to explore the area, the current state is ok to meet that need.

The power outlets in the room didn’t work, light shone through the window all night and shower was very, very small.

We had an amazing time at the Scarlet Ibis. Such a perfect spot to base yourself for adventures to Grant Bay, San Josef Bay and all the amazing beaches in that area. I highly recommend the Scarlet Ibis for anyone travelling to the North part of Vancouver Island. The pub and restaurant are a great place to eat and drink after your day. The adventure huts were much better than we could have expected. The beds are really comfy and they were more spacious than we anticipated. We were a family of four and it worked really well.

Friendly and perfect for what we needed .a nice cozy dry place to relax and enjoy

Tidy little cabins with a fan, baseboard heat, clothes drying rack, bar fridge, folding chairs, inside and outdoor power outlets. Lots of parking. Very intermittent cell service, but good signal down the road by the boat launch. Good wifi in the pub. Pretty small, but with all the necessary services.
