This place was overall a great place to stay, especially if you are planning to visit Devils lake. There is lots of camping spots and they are pretty good. The restrooms were super clean and continued that way even through a busy weekend. The only downsides we experienced was 1 night of our 5 night stay some kids were loud till late but 4/5 of the nights were quiet by 10 pm at the latest and there was wood chips where we put our tent. Other than these two things would highly recommend Skillet Creek Campground to anyone. We will be planning another stay when we make a trip down there again!

We love staying here. It is always a great time. Family friendly and a beautiful camp ground. Between the beach, Bingo, crafts, and the dog park, there is something for everyone. Sitting around the campfire with family and walking to the office for ice cream can make the perfect weekend even better.

  • Closing Weekend + Fall Fair on the Square

    October 9 - October 11

    Arrive Friday for a cozy fall evening and our final Friday Night Fish Fry of the season. On Saturday, enjoy the crisp autumn air at the campground or head into Downtown Baraboo for the Fall Fair on the Square from 9 AM–4 PM. The square fills with crafters, artists, photographers, local food vendors, sweet treats, and the Baraboo Farmers Market — a perfect way to spend a fall afternoon in town. Return to camp for a peaceful evening surrounded by fall color, then enjoy a relaxed Sunday morning as we wrap up the 2026 season. Canteen Hours: Fri 4–8 PM • Sat 8 AM–7 PM • Sun 8–10 AM
