Smoky Mountain Hidden Stills RV Campground — Reviews

New RV site, nice property. Spaces are tight and the space that we rented for a 42ft was not appropriate to get in too. Had to pay more money to get premium site. Owner was nice and discounted it and gave us firewood. Absolutely beautiful site. Hard to get to though. Big rigs are difficult. Really nice set up!!

Please check the sites for length and width. I booked to wrong site. Upon arrival we noted it was too short and on a slope. A young man met us, her spoke to the owner and we changed sites. The owner spoke to me and stated he put us in a premium spot. He apologized about the other spot stating it was my fault for the mistake. He stated the spot we were moving to was a premium spot. And the would be an upcharge. He would give us 10% off and 2 bundles of wood. Therefore he said around $100.00 extra. When checking my account he charge us $182.00. When I called he said he calculated the amount in his head on the previous day. The site is by a river. You climb over rocks to see it. The sites are rock based, No wifi to speak of. Unless you have an internet connection, no TV There is a walking trail. The place in my opinion is nice, maybe a few day stay. however the owner is a bit rude. If I could give more than 5 stars I would. The atmosphere, spacious wooded sites and the service level were superb. From the minute we pulled in with our fifth wheel, the owner Stan and his assistant Brandon guided us to our spot and assisted with the back in (which took a LOT off of me as the wife!). It is a brand new campground, opened summer 2023, and the detail and thought put into the grounds was spectacular. Brandon even moved our stone surrounded fire ring for us to better suit where our trailer was parked. Brandon made sure I could hook to wifi, stopped by the sites several times per day (or on request) to see if we needed anything (cut firewood, yes please!). Twenty minutes down the road to Gatlinburg and the 8 mile crafters loop and even less time to an entrance to the Smokey Mountain National park. We were there for over a week and I didn't want to leave. I would encourage anyone to stay there if you're going to the area!

Absolutely great campground and staff. Our first family camping trip was a success. A few minor issues but everything was resolved easily and no further problem. We will definitely be going back at some point. 10 outta 10 would camp again!
