This campground is a must! Beautiful nature, spots (unserviced) right next to the river where you can spot seals, bears and bald eagles. Very tidy and clean showers and owners are superfriendly and welcoming.

Great service and amenities (hot showers, games, etc.). They even loaned us a couple of camp chairs when we forgot to bring ours.

Because it is convenient, and the ladies that are in the office are so nice, they accomodated what we need. Washroom and showers were convenient, only thing is, we expected to swim, but the water was cloudy with algea.

We don’t enjoy .. we’re not staying at the site we just go keep exploring the sooked area we Just sleep and rest in the camp but we come back our Neighboor told us to be silent .. no freedom we felt someone keep watching us .. We Feel so bad is it discrimination for us ..she should respect our culture .. as we do them everyone is different., she keep on bagging us .. we want to go right away from you’re campsite but it’s hard to pack up our stuff .., and the place is dry everywhere..only the washroom is good .,,

Sooke River Campground is a great combination of "RV Park" and true Camping experience. We camped in a non-serviced site on the riverfront in our self-sufficient motorhome, while the new Canadian family we were assisting camped in a tent site on the wide open grass (riverfront side). The little kids in the family loved the wide grass and boatramp beach, and the whole family (and us too) really enjoyed their first-ever camping experience, with the luxury of park washrooms, showers, and of course playground.

Love everything about this campground. The managers are fun, the campground is clean, bathrooms immaculate, updated showers, a garden for everyone to share!, a library with free books, mature trees, huge open fields for activities, a river, etc.
