Spring Lake Campground — Reviews

I just stopped for the night. The manager was very pleasant. I just pulled straight in, plugged in and was settled. Nice stay.

We had an amazing stay! Everything was perfect from start to finish. The campsites are very spacious and well separated, giving everyone plenty of privacy. The campground owners are incredibly kind, welcoming, and always happy to help. One of the highlights of our stay was the open-air shower—it was something we had never experienced before, and it made the trip even more memorable. The campground is located near a railroad, but honestly, it didn’t bother us at all. We still had a peaceful and relaxing stay. The campground also sits on the shore of a beautiful lake covered with blooming lotus flowers, creating absolutely stunning views. Highly recommended! 🌿🏕️

Clean, friendly owners, gorgeous location, people went out of their way to help when I locked my keys in the car! All around a lovely trip.

Was an absolute amazing time. We may have o m ly stayed a night but the camp owners are nothing but amazing. We came to see the havencrest castle that was super cool but they also made us a list of other attractions around the area. Was a great time definitely will be back for another round of fun. Thabk you guys so much if your reading reviews to see if its worth it let me tell you it definitely is!!!!

Campground was clean, quiet and close to lots of activities. Host was very accommodating and loved his mother's homemade chocolate chip cookie ice cream sandwiches. Would highly recommend!!!

The camp site was peaceful and quiet except for the occasional train which wasn't very loud . The site was reasonably level gravel with easy hookup for water and electric. The wrens, ground squirrels ,red wing black birds turtles provided great entertainment. The campground host was very helpful and pointed out different points of interest. The Savanna Museum was a great little museum for model train buffs and civil war buffs lots of information here.

Great owners, very quiet campgrounds. I would go back for sure.

When I first pulled in I thought I had made a mistake. Most sites are clearly seasonal campers. I also had a hard time initially getting information about where my site was. However, the owner was i at the camp store and was incredibly helpful. He quickly guided me to the site which was easy in and out and was perfect for the night. I wished I had a kayak! The bike trail is adjacent and very accessible.

It’s an average campground, nothing too spectacular. The trains going by all times of the day and night are a bit disturbing. Overall a good place to stay.

We have a great time. It was a trial run our first time out. Looks like we may be happy campers 😜

The campground was beautiful! Everyone was super nice and helpful! Would have been nice to get on the lake before Oct 1, so we’ll be back!
