I have always had a great experience here. However this time the premium spots were filled with spiders and ants and the fire pit and chairs and tables were filled with spiders, webs and spider eggs. The infestation led to a couple of us getting bit. Our trailer getting ants and us walking through spiderwebs everyday through our campsite. We showed videos and photos to front desk and they did nothing to try and make things right. I tracked down the maintenance manager upon arrival and they sprayed and tried to wipe down the campsite equipment but it did not help. This was our worst experience here and we brought 4 other families with us. Two in cottages and two in RV spots and we all shared not the greatest experience. Super unfortunate especially for the price you pay.

We always enjoy staying at Sun Outdoors San Diego Bay, and it’s one of our favorite RV resorts because of its location and amenities. However, over our last few visits, we’ve noticed a decline in the overall maintenance and upkeep of the property. One of the biggest concerns is the landscaping. Trees, shrubs, and other vegetation have become overgrown and are encroaching into campsites, particularly the premium sites. As owners of a 45-foot motorhome with a tow vehicle, every inch of space matters when parking and maneuvering. Overgrown landscaping not only reduces usable site space but also increases the risk of scratches and damage to larger RVs. We also noticed that the palm trees around the pool appear to be overdue for trimming, and the general appearance of the pool area could benefit from more regular maintenance. Throughout the resort, there were cobwebs, dirt, and debris around the fire pit seating areas, and many of the fire pits themselves are beginning to show significant wear. While none of these issues individually ruin the experience, together they create the impression that routine maintenance and reinvestment in the property have slowed considerably. Another area that deserves attention is the exit from the resort. The landscaping around the roundabout is becoming overgrown as well, making it especially tight for larger rigs. We’re not sure whether that landscaping falls under the resort’s responsibility or another agency’s, but it creates a challenging exit and increases the potential for branches to scratch large motorhomes and tow vehicles. We truly enjoy staying here and want to continue returning for many years. Our hope is that management will invest in the property’s upkeep so that it once again reflects the premium resort experience that originally made Sun Outdoors San Diego Bay such a special destination.

This place is fantastic. Great for families with kids! They are a well oiled machine of workers constantly cleaning rv spots/cabins. Very clean and well designed park. We will definitely be back and will try other locations.

Place is amazing everything you could ask for and more!! Amazing and friendly staff definitely recommend this place for anything you ate doing. It's very close to everything you need!

We love how clean it is and the view cannot be beat. Even though the surrounding area can be a bit dicey we’ve always felt safe. I took a star off for a variety of reasons, all of which are picky but could make the high price easier to stomach if they’d pay attention: We’ve been coming here for a few years. It’s progressively gotten overgrown plants at the sites. The facilities personnel are great at cleaning each site, but it feels like they let a Gardner go. We never saw anyone over several weeks there. The kids activities all cost money. Usually event room activities don’t. But things like bingo should not cost money. Why do you play sporting events on the big screen but refuse to have sound? I get it when it’s busy. When it’s mostly sports fans hanging out in front of the game, ordering food & buying drinks… turn the sound on. What a missed opportunity. Could the staff act like they care about the people they see staying for a long time? I encountered so many people over & over. They had zero interest in us as customers. With the exception of a male staff member that helps with bingo & other activities. He showed some personality. Again… will we continue to stay here? Absolutely. Could they do more small things to warrant the pricing of the most expensive San Diego campground? Absolutely.

Ideal location . However Park was noisy . A lot Construction going on . Spots were clean but needed more attention to landscaping . I stayed here in the past but I think it’s regressed since .

Every amenity possible, TERRIFIC staff in all areas of the park. The cleanest, best designed, most professionally run park I've ever been to.

Always a great time in Chula Vista!

Initial corner site 44 was noisy with screaming kids until 2200, next to open arcade. The bungalows west block any sea.breeze.

Check-in was quick and easy. The place is amazing. We never left because we had everything we needed on the resort. The only issue were the minors riding ebikes at top speed and at all times of the night. I counted approximately 20 kids running around on the top decks of the cafe and then all ride around on their ebikes. If there is a speed limit for vehicles there should be one for ebikes. Maybe consider an age limit as well.

One 50 amp leg at power pedestal did not work so RV would not accept power. Had to move spots but it was not in our preferred section. Wish I had more time to enjoy the amenities this trip.

Fantastic location with access to bike trails. Clean and pleasant campground with an exceptional staff.
