Very friendly staff and residents. Was nice to have a great restaurant on site.

Lovely setting, Spanish moss dripping from century oaks and cypress trees. Immaculately kept grounds, friendly staff and neighbors. Enjoyed the restaurant and the cool breezes (6/19 in Florida, what?). We rode around on scooters and I was chilly. Definitely recommend and we will be back!

We Love this resort. Very peaceful and relaxing. Beautiful. Well maintained.

Excellent atmosphere

Need WAY better directions for new arrivals! Very difficult and had back up our huge rig, stressful and wound up with some tree rubbing damage. Duck hunters started shooting at sunrise every single day we were there. Had better experiences elsewhere!

Very poor stay. We vacated our site 3 days early. After stating that this was a “Pet Friendly RV Resort “. We were told that our small 24” fence was not allowed and that the “full-time” residents did not like it and we had to take it down immediately. I asked where this was written in the rules and conditions. It was not found in any of the material that was provided to us when we arrived…but we still had to take it down anyway. We were able to get a partial refund. However, we drove 450 miles from NC to see family. If this “rule” had been stated to us in our contract, we would have happily stayed somewhere else that does like pets and young people (we are still in our 60’s). This is not an RV resort for the living. Only come here if you are on hospice care.

We only stayed for 2 nights and did not have the time to experience the pool or fire pits due to our schedule but this is a beautiful, clean and conveniently located park. It has Gorgeous mature trees, is close in proximity to both Ocala and Gainesville, a secure gate for after hours, definitely well run!

The resort is nice. The water was awful.

They have a dog park/run. Easy pull through camp sites. Very clean restrooms and showers. Easy access from the highway. I recommend stopping.

Overall it was a very pleasant stay. One thing I was not happy about is the campground shutting power off 8 hours prior to the mandatory evacuation time which was a whole day before the hurricane was even suppose to hit Florida. Other than that. The restaurant is nice. The golf course is nice also. Very large sites

Bit by ants within 5 minutes of arriving

Site was level, all hook ups worked with no issues, staff were very nice and helpful. The on-site restaurant was good with reasonable prices.

Sun Retreat is a very clean invironment, it seems to be a very peaseful place to have a vaccation , it made us feel safe and secure, the other resident people are very friendly, it has a very beautiful natrual scenery. we really enjoyed our stay at the sun retreat mostly because of it's quiet and clean environment, Thank you Sun Retreat for your overwhelming hospitality: Jimmie Ewell

I stayed at several sites recently. This one meh, I won’t go back. The ants and wasps everywhere were too much. They didn’t accommodate for getting around easy. And, worst off, I paid for a fire pit site for the kids and we didn’t get one even though there were several open that we saw. Very disappointing experience.

Extremely peaceful, nice big sites, beautiful and very clean grounds, tons of amenities, and pleasing price. Will be returning again for sure!!

This spot is not a campground. There was no place to sit and eat. The showers are too far away. Mediocre at best.
