WWS Sun Retreats Westward Shores — Reviews

Few staff and those unfriendly. Unkept grounds. New infrastructure expensive (new road, gravel sites, pool) but like ‘putting lipstick on a pig.’ Beaches non-existent and over crowded with hundreds of boats and jet skis jammed in. Old seasonals scary looking and unmanaged. Too crowded. Low country. Swampy. Sewage smells. Can’t imagine the summer peak. Northgate would have been better served evicting all and starting from scratch.

Beautiful beach with stunning views of the lake, really nice pool area with indoor pool as well and nice campground overall. The bad news; the office staff is just miserable, they should find different jobs if they hate customer service so much? They're rude and inconvenienced at any question what so ever. $140 a night for full hook-up site with no cable, no wifi and no bathhouse within a half mile? It's obviously a "seasonal site" focused campground which seems to be the trend overall and I get the economics with that but don't rent sites to weekend warriors at a premium if not going to supply the premium amenities.

Staff was very friendly and we loved the new pool complex.

Very friendly, beautiful pool area and the lake is very clean. We were only there for 3 nights which was too short to get everything in! Looking forward to going back next summer. Wish there were more sites for short stay and larger.

The activities suck. We had our whole day planned out with the activities that were offered online. Only one of the 6 activities were actually happening. When several campers went to the office to ask about activities the woman at the front says “ oh you have to look at the activities on the app. How are we supposed the know that? There turned out to be no activities on July 16 Saturday. We were very disappointed

We had a great 5 nights at the campground. It is clean, daily trash pick up, and tons for kids to do make it even better. We did not have a golf cart and where the non seasonal section is located, you will want a golf cart.
